Depends how much you need the coins. Yes, someone is dumping, but I don't see an obvious reason why. As to the general price decline over the last week or two, I put it down to (a) bored traders, with no real ActM news expected for a while, (b) day traders stepping away, perhaps burned by their Labcoin experiences and (c) people removing funds in anticipation of the Neo Bee IPO.

Yap, that's a good possibility!

I think I am going to start exiting this position. I can see this hitting close to 0 and I really need to salvage what's left. Anyone think thats a bad idea?

Nope.  No reason to hold this stock until November.

My good friend icebreaker,
Watts/GH are a rough estimate, and won't matter anyway until the network hash rate is 500PH/S.  Electricity costs are pointless to talk about at this point in the game, and for many months to come, especially with this high-end technology from eASIC.  We have explained this to you numerous times, and this why we choose to ignore you -- NOT because we can't answer it.
The numbers are clearly in error. The chips are supposed to put out 16GH/s at ~1W/GH or less. Ken should fix this immediately, and hopefully we have a PR person soon to get the word out.

Ken is updating the numbers according to information they have. Not sure when, but web site will be updated accordingly.

really? the price is spikd downwards simply because of a whale or two dumping and minor differences on power estimations on a product that does not physically exist yet?

sounds like its time to buy.

Yeah, we have like and all time min. at BF.

My illustrious colleague VE,

Do you really consider 0.91W/Gh - 2.34W/Gh to be a small variance?

Nothing like giving yourself a 257% margin for error to pad the heck out of a self-serving definition of success!

ACTM's customers (who don't get free power from the Buttcave's magical ass-reactor) are not going to like seeing negative ROI because they hoped for 1GH/w and only got half that.

If ACTM offered a Miner Protection Program it would offset most of that risk, but unlike the competition (HashFast/Cointerra/CryptX) they don't.

When profit overpowers electricity costs by hundreds of percent, it literally does not matter at least for another year.

so, one whale dumping is enough for the price to drop so much? or is it not constant prostate massaging from the PR team that is responsible for the price drop?

I think this controversy (quickly censored from VE's Potemkin Thread) may have something to do with it:

So nothing before the shipping to customers? When do they expect the chips to arrive and why isn't there any power estimates?

There are definitely power estimates.  Check out the Genesis Block mining dashboard.

I checked it and it seems strange. The Silver Unit 1 Module does 64Gh/s and consumes 100W, that's 1.56W/Gh; next we have the Silver Unit 2 Modules that does 384Gh/s??!! and consumes 350W, that's 0.91W/Gh; next we have Gold Unit 1 Modules that does 128Gh/s and consumes 300W???, that's 2.34W/Gh; next Gold Unit 6 Modules 784Gh/s for 800W, that's 1.04W/Gh; next Platinum Unit 1 Module for 256Gh/s for 400W, that's 1.56W/Gh (like the Silver Unit 1 Module) and last is Platinum Unit that does 1536Gh/s for 1400W, that's 0.91W/Gh(like the Silver Unit 2 Modules).

There seems to be some inconstancy on the power numbers. Care to explain me why since you seem to be the paid PR person?

And why should i trust them? Do they have better info than the manufacturer himself? Is there an official announcement about this?

After reading the Securities thread i understand why are you avoiding this. People are asking there too and no answer from the boss himself. That raises a red flag for me.

Now on topic: Do you really consider 0.91W/Gh - 2.34W/Gh to be small and rough estimate? Ok now i see with who i am talking. No more questions

You are being very polite by merely saying there "seems to be some inconstancy on the power numbers" when you incontrovertibly demonstrated that inconsistency most definitely exists (and is glaringly obvious upon even cursory inspection).

No wonder ViagraErector would rather deflect uncomfortable questions about power consumption to the inexpert, unaccountable third parties at Genesisblock!

ACTM and VE can't even get their story straight; they're just making stuff up.  That's a red flag warning customers this might be a scam, or at the very least, amateur hour.   Embarrassed
