The market had been begging me to take some (well actually a metric ass-ton) of profit, and circumstances conspired to make me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Given that I lost nothing in a risky, fluid situation, plus have a chance to regain the shares at a lower price, I conclude that my actions successfully navigated between Scylla and Charybdis. Also, the entertainment value provided non-monetary rewards.
