I think weekly or bi-weekly updates would be great.

More realistic, but right now this is impossible with an NDA in place. PR have already said once the NDA is signed off we will be getting regular news.

It's not difficult to understand this is it? (not directed at anyone in particular).

I feel that there is value in a daily, bi-daily update on the situation even if there is no change though.

Do you think that isn't worth it?

Absolutely not. No company has daily updates it's a ridiculous suggestion IMO and would only pander to speculators and cause share price volatility.

Just out of curiosity (and I promise this isn't meant to be sarcastic), how long are you willing to wait without news?

End of Sept.?

End of Oct.?

Impossible question to answer, it depends how things pan out here, with competition, and with btc price. I'm sure that's the same for everyone. If no news by end Sep I would be asking serious questions and don't think that is atall likely. All my own opinion.

http://bitcoinmagazine.com/6564/cointerra-planning-to-release-2-petahashes-of-mining-power-by-december/

This one as well. Lots of competition coming within the next few months. Is ActiveMining going to be able to get chips/miners up and running by or before the end of the year?

I agree updates should be daily or bi-daily(Even if nothing gets accomplished) Until we start making some actually revenue.

Even if its just a list of things that are on the table and their status of the day.

1. Waiting on Avalon (Waiting)
2. NDA with eAsic (Ongoing)
3. Updating website (Haven't begun)
4. Etc

I think weekly or bi-weekly updates would be great. Just to keep everyone updated in regards to what is happening that week and projections on when certain goals should be hit. Any kind of response from PR would be help give us a good idea of the progress we are making.

Jothekhan - decent post but you like most posters here need to go and look at some of the most recent posts from ken and PR. There is no news and there is no point repeating that day after day. When the news is ready it will be released. Until then you need to either deal with that or sell your shares.

I have read all the post from both Ken and PR and have gain information from ffsixtynine and I know where we are at in the plan. I feel that there is value in a daily, bi-daily update on the situation even if there is no change though. It confirms/debunks rumors, it builds investor confidence and makes it harder for trolls and people whom are trying to crash the price gain traction on the thread. I think all those are worth 10mins of streets time every 24-48 hours or so.

Do you think that isn't worth it?

Maybe even include the dates when boardmembers have/will meet so we Know with almost absolute certainty (to get rid of all the extra doubt) that they are getting the ball rolling.

I know Streets said he has a crap load of stuff to do on his plate and I respect that. I think they should find a way for him to squeeze in 10mins so he can drop a post on the thread at least every other day to keep us updated. It doesn't have to be a list, it doesn't have to be a massive paragraph about what is going on. But give us something.

P.S. In case some of you say "Well there's the list right there, you just made it." I think we would all like to see it not from me, not from another investor, not from a boardmember, but from Streets or Ken himself.

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
Hey!
ACTM Board or Ken or Streets!!!

you got ANYTHING for us today?

...the natives are getting downright restless.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

We have a dedicated PR account. Can we please use it?

You people need to shut up and clap louder.  Because NDA.

Be thankful for all the cheap shares I have provided!

activeminer stock - steady downhill cruise engaged

soon only thing you will hear is Kens Laughter
he will be sipping pina colada on venice beach
whilst poor shareholders scrape together their coins
to buy loaf of bread and heat their homes

Good thing I live in Venice Beach then.

"In total, around 6,377 GH/s, expected to be fully operational in the middle of August."

I'd like to see this updated with an estimate that isn't in the past. (copied from first post of the thread, which we were told would be kept updated.)  A bump in weekly divs would make the company appear less stagnant (in terms of people's perception, not necessarily reality behind the scenes I understand) and would hold people's interest a bit better.

I'm not going to whine about it though, I know people are trying their best, and if it bothered me enough, I'd sell.

It's not 'typographical layout' it's copying, pasting, and replacing a few words.  He'd definitely get in trouble for it if it was an academic assignment.

Like I said, not evidence of a scam, but sloppy and unprofessional.

What the hell?

How old are you?

This is the real world, this happens all the time, this isn't some high school class....

Wake up man, life is going to hit you hard if you have the mentality that life is like the inside of a classroom.

Lol what? If you think my life is going to be "hit hard" by the fact I'm not investing in ActiveMining, you're completely delusional. If someone is sloppy and unprofessional.  There is nothing wrong with having standards as far as who you invest your money with.

If they're going to be sloppy and unprofessional at one thing, they may carry that through in other aspects of their business as well.

sloppy. ..

It's not sloppy or unprofessional if he's copied the layout on purpose so that potential investors can do a quick side by side comparison with the big competition. I would say that is smart. It shows Ken recognized where the challenge lay (in pulling some investors away from AM) and shows he is recognizing he needs to make chip spec info accessible and quickly cross checkable for interested parties.

I don't really buy that.  If you want to make it easy to compare data, you can use a table and just show the numbers. (and also it's not a "layout" it's a paragraph of text)

And all that really matters as far as investment goes is the $/Gh/s and in the long run the W/Gh/s.   Things like chip clock speed, hashes per cycle, etc aren't important. It doesn't matter if a chip is 10x as fast if it costs 12x as much and uses 15 times as much energy.

Anyway - it's not something that on it's own would make me this company is a bad bet, but there are a lot of things. I just don't see them keeping up with the massive amount of competition from other companies that seem much more professional/competent.

I mean, look, for example, at how much success HashFast has had in selling BabyJet pre-orders, before they'd even taped out.  They've sold $2.75 million worth of pre-orders to customers, plus the orders from the IceDrill IPO.  I don't think their customers will ever make ROI, but their investors are going to make out like bandits.

Cointerra is saying they'll be putting out in 2PH in December.

KnC has their PCBs and cases, all that's left to do is put in the chips and ship them.

So when I say professionalism, I don't mean acting "corporate" or anything, but simply their ability to execute and get things done, faster and at lower costs then the competition. And to me, it seems like they're lacking. Sorry.

I'm not trying to get people riled up.  If you want to invest your btc in this company it's obviously up to you.  I'm just trying to explain why I think something like plagiarism by the CEO of a company, along with things like an ugly  website with misaligned images are going to be big red flags for some people.

I'm as eager to see some news as the rest of you.  But try to remember these things:

1) This stock only exists to fund the NRE, now that they have the funds, they don't need to bend to every whim of investors.  It's not like in the real world.  That said, forming the board was an excellent sign of good faith.

2) This has been said before, but they are hard at work, when you run your own small business you have to do the jobs of about 8 people.  It's not so much the posting, but the READING of this forum that takes way too much time.  The radio silence has probably been imposed to tame the mouth frothing going on in here.

3) So this is a good time to ask yourself why you invested, if you were in for the IPO speculation but didn't intend to hold it past September, then now is your time to leave.

ActM will be a close 2nd to market with a 28nm chip that you can rest assured will work as advertized (since there is only one custom via layer, not much can go wrong).  And if the chips are overclockable to 1 GHz (20GH/s) then a single fast hash one would pump out 320GH/s IN LATE OCTOBER.

Keep things in perspective, the eASIC deal exists, but we can't talk about it.
