Do you realize someone could of bought a million shares expecting them to have prototypes this week, only to learn later that the post was fake?

Anyone that buys or sells shares on "news" from an anonymous internet source that is in no way affiliated with the company without directly verifying that news themselves deserves to lose that money and would (hopefully although not likely) learn a valuable lesson in the process.

Yeah it's great to say this but but people do come here to [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread to get pertinent info about this security, it's part of the process of doing researching with these stocks as WSJ et. al. isn't covering this sector (incase you haven't noticed.)

There have been more than a few people who have taken it upon themselves to contact Ken and then "unofficially" post whatever it is they find out.

Not cool.

Just keep your hats on and let the PR purveyors do their job.

And when the WSJ does pick up on a story they're track record isn't great **cough** Joe Lewis

If someone bought 12,000 shares based on Stuarts joke, which I doubt, they currently hold 12,000 more shares in ActM and bought them for an amazing price.  It's a win-win.

I'm glad someone else got same informations, but I'm a bit paranoid and I prefer check for myself Wink

No problem. Smiley

I'm expecting a huge rally when the official PR from eAsic is released and those fears dissipate permanently.

Completely agree. Looking to get more involved? Now is the time my friends, now is the time. Might be the cheapest ACTM will ever be.

do you think Ken would really use super special "glue" guns from tims hardware store?  No.. it's obviously a joke.  They are not building childrens crafts here..

if anyone was that gullible to fall for that, they shouldn't be investing bitcoins.  They should be focusing on their homework..

Hello everyone,

I'm in with ActM but I've to say I've always been suspicious about Ken's reliability. That's why I've sent a lot of e-mails to eASIC to have a confirmation about a relationship between them and VMC, and few days ago I received a reply:

my question:
Quote
Dear eASIC,

The Virtual Mining Corporation and his CEO Kenneth Slaughter are claiming that are involved with you to develop a 28nm ASIC chip able to mine bitcoin, and it should be the actual state-of-art in the mining bitcoin field.

I know that these are probably reserved information, but I'd just like to know whether such a relationship exists to avoid scams and inferences about you and the VMC CEO.

the answer:
Quote
Hello

I can reveal that we have engaged in discussions with VMC, however those discussions are protected under NDA. Therefore for further details I would suggest you contact VMC directly

///Paul

I hope this is interesting for someone of you Wink

You're late to that party! Grin

I think we should declare this month, International Waiting Month.

We got people waiting for a news or meaningful update re ACTM
We got people waiting for a news or meaningful update re Labcoin
We got people waiting on time critical Avalon chips
We got people waiting on Gox to return monies
We got people waiting to see where BTC/USD is actually heading
We got people waiting to see where certain authorities will focus on next

Theres a whole lot of waiting going on. While we wait......anyone know any jokes? Tongue

And I think that if some one buys a million shares after some random non-affiliated dude makes post should clearly pay for his stupidity.
I agree, I don't really follow these forums and a non-affiliated post certainly wouldn't get me to make a large purchase or sell. If someone did buy based on a rumor, it's their own fault if they get burned.

I basically buy shares when I've mined enough that I can afford them and they are at a good price, I'm in this for the long haul which may be a mistake as well but one I'll own up to if it turns out that way.

Yes, someone did exactly the same a while back and got the same message from eASIC, it is good you spent the time to do this reseach.

What is ActiveMining's market cap?

multiply average share price (over bitfunder and btc-ct) by number of shares (25mill).

0.005x25,000,000

roughly 125k BTC or 12MIll USD

6.898.797 are issued on BF and 3.071.989 on BTC-TC. Freefloat would be very roughly 55k BTC.

Good work, Pompobit. Thanks for sharing!

Yep but 15Mill held by ACtM so I think these are used in the calculation too? They are not for sale so maybe not.
