Looks like the BTCGarden funds are being let loose. Appears to be going into labcoin and AsicMiner so far...

looks like BTCGARDENERS are buying LABCOIN and the speculators are selling it right out from under them... on the spike. tsk tsk.

What, is ACTM too expensive?

I think it's a clusterfucked thread with more FUD than anything else and a low score on BTC-TC.

yeah well BTCGarden had a 6 score...

In reality, it doesn't mean much. But for those who were in a security with a score of 6 and are quickly look for another security, the one with a 2 is probably the last one they read up on. Let's just hope they start somewhere before the last 30 pages of this thread.

EDIT: my bad we're rated a 3 right now.

Is it this thread where someone was recommending a trading book to buy from Amazon?  Can you post again?

I asked this question a couple pages back, but I didn't get any reply:

Can anyone shed some light on how closely we've been tracking the predictions made in the spreadsheet that's on the first page of the Speculation thread? I've only been a shareholder since mid July, so I'd like to hear how some of the metrics have ended up relative to their predictions.

AFAIK we are slightly behind compared to the projections in the spreadsheet. Our hands are kind of tied with respect to the Klondikes and the Avalon clones since both of those projects (totally ~6th/s) are dependent upon Avalon chips being shipped arriving in a timely (lol) manner. I don't want to give specific estimates (especially the dreaded "2 weeks"TM), but everything that can be done/prepped by Ken beforehand is being done (see one of ActiveMining-PRs first updates).

Progress with respect to eASIC is a little more difficult to comment on due to the NDA. Last I heard (and I'm one of those guys that has read every page on both this and the speculation thread) Ken was converting the BTC into USD to pay the NRE costs. We did learn that eASIC is, in fact, capable of dealing with 28nm chips thanks to the press release about Seagate and eASIC so that's some good news there.

If I have made any errors in the above statements, please correct them. On a more positive note, share price is growing nicely thanks to all the BTCgarden ipo money finally being returned.

You are quite correct. Smiley

I'm waiting for more concrete Avalon news and the complete closing of the deal with eAsic to update my projections with more meaningful time-frames.

So far I'd say the global network difficulty escalation is going to make anyone designing chips without a very strong engineering team to have very tough times ahead, as the new designs must really deliver to be competitive (small and mobile chip expertise won't cut it anymore).

I am ex-BTCGarden investor still contemplating what to do now.  Can anyone bring me up to date on Active Mining?  Latest projections and developments?

All the latest information and developments are on page one of this thread (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/activemining-overview-and-speculation-thread-254930), run by Streets2.0 (the official ActiveMining PR rep). That page is updated whenever a major milestone is reached or any developments happen.

Hope this helps Smiley

That is perfect, thanks!

Please move this discussion to a new topic guys (and good luck).

Sorry was just trying to switch up the off topic nastiness in here while we wait for news.

Will move it to another thread.

Thanks for awesome feedback fellas!

Yup - you'll notice links on BTCT for each security. For example, "[Click for long term ACTIVEMINING charts at http://coinflow.co/chart/ACTIVEMINING]" at the bottom of the BTCT chart. They're vastly better for long term charting, IMO.

Also, there are still cheap shares on BF. Buy em while you can! Smiley

Touchdown
I'm not totally convinced about using nature in the background.
Agree with this.  If you're trying to convey the "whole world" message, maybe some sort of aerial or skyscraper view or cityscape would work better.

One other thought: it might be worth trying one or two shots with a person featured (to personalise the whole "our world", "your bank" thing). Take the first street shot, for example. The same shot with a well dressed woman with shopping bag would immediately suggest (i) women can do bitcoin, (ii) confident/successful/professional people in charge of their own finances do bitcoin and (iii) people can shop with bitcoin.

Maybe even an indoor shot. A bakery or coffee shop or something.

this is a bit off topic but I thought it might be more proactive and than some of the recent "discussions" have been:

I'm working on a personal project creating some promotional visuals (posters, video spots, etc.) for BTC as a brand.

I was hoping I could get some feedback/critique as I respect more than a few opinions in here:

bold/braveBTC

be as critical as possible, I'm thick skinned.

I was expecting something awful considering how many "designs" people have posted online.
But these are actually quite nice.
Although some of the backgrounds don't work with the visuals (b001, b002, b004).
I'm not totally convinced about using nature in the background.
But for some reason mountain tops don't bother me as much.
Although I think the connection of the pattern and cities is a better match.
This could also look good when used in a video.

But I guess it depends on what image Bitcoin would want to convey.
Your design goes for less serious and more cool.
While the current image is serious with some nice playful animations.

tl;dr keep working and experimenting with it.
And maybe open a thread in Off-topic.
