The BTC from the K16's was refunded.

The BTC for 2 x 10 000 Avalon chips were refunded.

There was also an another order for 68 assembled K16's (including 1088 Avalon chips) that was not refunded.

Cost of 68 K16's was around BTC150. That is excluding shipping, PSU's and cables.

Potential payout with them is less then BTC10. They won't be able to cover the power usage past November.

How's is that good news?

For the more dense among us I'll point this out:

"plus the addition of other hashing resources."

Nothing is exciting about 3TH. Nothing. Let's get that straight. It's "too little too late" in and of itself.

What is exciting is that something other than the retail grade miners is up and running. The possibility that this additional hashing power is easic chips is a big deal. That's something to get excited about. Testing chips is a good sign that low production manufacturing is around the corner.

It is also a possibility that the additional hashing power could be from KnC, BitFurry or even cex.io.

Which mining pool is now being used by AMC?

I noticed that Team AMC on BTCGuild is no longer mining that paltry 400GH.

It is a good news, but if the chips are made by AMC,i think it will be a big good news.

I think this is a good news ONLY if these 3TH/s are coming from e-asic chips. Otherwise "few weeks" to get 3TH/s is almost useless with the current difficulty growth, and if we'll not receive AMC chips in november, is a really bad news

Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.
London, UK – October 30, 2013 – Active Mining Corporation (AMC) today announced that they have added over 1TH+ to their hashing rate.  This additional hashing rate has been added from the 68 Klondikes and 1088 Avalon chips that were ordered last May 3rd, plus the addition of other hashing resources.  This brings ActiveMining's hashing resources to a total of ~1.4 TH/s.  Over the next few weeks ActiveMining expects to add up to an additional 3 TH/s to their mining operation.

Great News,

Now you have 1/8th my personal hashing rate.

In a "few weeks" you will have "UP TO" 1/2 my personal hashing rate

I spent less than 10% of what you took in as well.

It's time for a trip to Springfield soon.

Are You Shpongled?
My advice would be buy everything you can now and hold for the divs. It we are a success the divs will outstrip the share price in a short space of time. This could go only one way (up) for months and months to come.
Haha they won't have much choice after November 1. Either they aren't verified on Bitfunder so they can't trade, or they are verified and there's no liquidity because of the shutdown! Bitfunder is not far from death at this point.

'shutdown'?  Do you mean prohibiting US citizens from having accounts on Bitfunder?  How is BF going to die?
Yes I'm talking about non-verified users being kicked off Bitfunder (not just US citizens...). I speculate that about half of all the volume on there was from US investors or people that would rather not verify their identity with Ukyo since Bitcoiners tend to be very privacy-conscious. Bitfunder is still around only because there is no viable replacement for it and BTC-TC yet. I predict that in 6 months Bitfunder will be closed, or be functionally dead from low volume, or maybe survive if they use colored coins and other exchanges don't beat them first.

Bitfunder is in play because there is no other option. Due to that alone it is not going to die.

America is not the only country in the world. While blocking US citizens has damaged prices across the board significantly, it is not the be all and end all.

no, only ~90% of it according to price drops. US is the backbone that keeps bitcoin et al afloat.

minerpart I have a favor to ask: can you please not quote the trolls when you're kvetching with them? I really don't need to see the uselessness of someone's misspent valuable time.

I value what you have to say and would rather not ignore you as well because of troll drool in your joustings.

thank you in advance.

Sure, no probs. Sorry bout that, should have ignored him but his incredible stupidity drew me in. Again I show him to be a complete imbecile but it's getting old now.
