3Th? I'll be more excited if Ken just buy some hash shares in cex.io while waiting for other hardware to deliver.

No! Please Ken never buy hash rate from anywhere!

It would be more profitable to just send those Bitcoin's back to shareholders rather than buy hash rate.

Are You Shpongled?
So much fun to watch everyone that has no life whatsoever! How can people create so much white noise, Ken this Ken that.....

I PM ken and just found out he was getting mexican food for lunch on friday. Wonder what he is doing on monday? Obviously no one has ever worked in an environment that you actually had to work on stuff. I think if we don't see the production run on the miners from VMC we should go back and point fingers at every millisecond of time pointless people took PM'ing ken and WASTING his time!!

You go ken. I have been following this closely and you guys are doing a super job! Cant wait to see the results!!
Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave this thread. You are being far too level-headed and reasonable.

Why on earth would you want Ken to waste money buying hashrate at cex.io when it could go towards ordering more wafers? Initial chip deliveries have implicitly happened.

decentralize EVERYTHING...
I've read the thread and I've Googled the term "signing", and there is no clear explanation of how to sign anything from a bitcoin wallet, or which wallets let you do it.

Help a non-computer engineering brother out, please

Here's a youtube tutorial for signing messages with blockchain wallets:

How to sign and Verify messages with your Bitcoin Address from your Online wallet or Web wallet

anything else can be easily found by searching:

signing a message with your bitcoin address - Google Search

Also, when the time comes, Ken will most likely provide brief instructions on what he requires from you to sign and verify a message using your bitcoin address.

It's not computer science, don't worry.

Can someone do something bad with the data?

Of course not, please pm me your Drivers License, Passport, and a Utility Bill. Theres nothing malicious I can do with that data.

I don't have a passport, but tell me, what can be done with a name and an address?

"they'll" come over and eat your brains...

Oh, ok then.

Could someone breifly explain reasons why I should or Shouldn't send my ID to weexchange as a european citizen?

im kind of on the ropes if I should do it or not.

What are the long term implications of them having my ID?

Doubt Ukyo is going to start selling off people's IDs...

Yeah I don't quite get the paranoia surrounding this one... unless you truly are trying to hide out and do illegal shit.

So you are going to trust Ukyo a person you do not know by their real name or real address to keep your personal data safe from hackers, and other would be thief's which could be Ukyo?

One thing I do know is that the way he handled closing the exchange to US customers does not strike a lot of confidence in the ability of BitFunder and WeExchange to keep my personal identity safe. He lost trust in the community and many will not just hand over documents until that trust is regained.

bahhh what could happen. just do it.

I live in the US and would like to double check with you guys about transferring shares on Bitfunder ( since they are closing to US citizens ).  Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else, I'm just a little paranoid of transferring shares, since I hold a large amount.

Can someone verify the below steps are correct.

1. ) Transfer all of your shares to AMC-TENDER on Bitfunder.

2.) Make the transfer before December 1st.

3.) Set your public Bitfunder bitcoin address to an address that can be signed.

Is that it or is there something that I'm missing?

Thanks!

2.) Make the transfer before November 6th.

Is a blockchain.info wallet bitcoin address able to be "signed"?   I confess, I'm not familiar with that term.

not to be snarky but you really should read the whole thread… or at least search the term.

Cost of 68 K16's was around BTC150. That is excluding shipping, PSU's and cables.

Potential payout with them is less then BTC10. They won't be able to cover the power usage past November.

How's is that good news?
What is exciting is that something other than the retail grade miners is up and running. The possibility that this additional hashing power is easic chips is a big deal. That's something to get excited about. Testing chips is a good sign that low production manufacturing is around the corner.
Yeah pretty much the only way to read the "additional hashing resources" thing is that sample chips are now hashing. The klondikes were supposed to add around 400GH/s so that means we have at least 500GH/s of sample chips up and running, with more to come soon. The hashing power is nothing significant now, but it means the chips work and paves the way to a bright future.

The BTC from the K16's was refunded.

The BTC for 2 x 10 000 Avalon chips were refunded.

There was also an another order for 68 assembled K16's (including 1088 Avalon chips) that was not refunded.

Oh, my bad. Thanks for the correction!
