I have to say loud and clear that you will always be a hero member for me. LOL, that sounds gay, what I mean is that you are probably the most helpful guy around regarding newbie's questions. I remember my first posts in the newbie subforum, you always helped A LOT.
I think that kind of attitude (as per DannyHamilton) should also be rewarded, but I guess it's difficult to have an automatic process for that.
No reward necessary. If I did it for rewards, I would have stopped a LONG time ago. I do it because I enjoy it. That is more than enough reward in and of itself. The "status" label is so meaningless and valueless, that it provides no reward incentive at all.
Now, as far as being rewarded goes, I'm not above accepting gratuities in the form of bitcoins from those who desire to reward me directly, but even that is unnecessary. Therefore I don't list a "tip" address in my signature line. Someone has to decide of their own volition to want to tip me, and then has to make the effort to contact me and ask for an address they can use to do so. If they aren't motivated enough to do that without prompting, then they shouldn't feel obligated to.
I'd have to say, I tend to be a bit surprised at hew few people approach me to hold escrow for their transaction. I know John K. is the best escrow provider on the forum, and I've personally used and recommended him, but due to his geographical location he isn't always available on short notice. I suppose I should be glad that my free time isn't being used up by dozens of escrow requests, but I tend to wonder at times if I've done or said something that has made me appear somehow untrustworthy.
