How the number of posts and activity correlate? 1 post=1 activity point?

1 post = 1 activity
Maximum 14 activities every 2 weeks (1 period) even if you make more than 14 posts
Next period starts next Tuesday.
0 post in 1 period = 0 activity in that period

So in order to achieve Legendary rank you need to be active every single day for 55 periods? This adds to 110 weeks, which is more than 2 years!

New users should be given links to the rules and maybe a FAQ (which I'm working on right now) which answers most of the commonly asked questions.
Can this sent by PM to new users, in several messages, for instance one message after each post he makes, or one message per day?
I have (some) hope new users are more likely to read it, if it's delivered in small chunks at a time, instead of the standard "yes I agree to all the terms that I never bothered to read".
oh yeah in near future im legendary stautus YEAH Smiley.

I have 42 Activity a very long time  Embarrassed. When I get more  Cry ?

Next Tuesday a new period of 14 days will start so your activity will increase to 56.

Activity increases every 2 weeks by 14 only and not everyday.
Oh.. Thx!

What constitutes of a post. Would a simple reply or discussion in the form constitute one? I am asking this as I am relatively new to the crypto world and may not be an expert to write a post.

Would this be a post Wink

Yep, my friend, that is a post Smiley Every reply in a thread, a new thread count as posts. But remember that meaningless one-word messages are not appreciated here! Good luck Wink

The only problem with this system (and it's a huge problem) is that new members have no clue that it exists.  They see that posts and activity are somewhat related and continue to spam away in order to get signature space.  Then they complain why activity is not increasing.  The weekly limit is completely unknown unless you are a Bitcointalk regular.  Hence a huge number of shitty posts.

New users should be given links to the rules and maybe a FAQ (which I'm working on right now) which answers most of the commonly asked questions. It's really tedious and a complete waste of time having to nuke dozens upon dozens of idiots a day who come here and spam ref links or copy and paste or head straight into off topic to spam one word answers in every topic they can find, then straight into Meta (or usually in the wrong section) to ask why their activity is 'stuck' or how can they become a Junior Member etc.

I believe that there is already an existing thread regarding this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

Basically, this forum should require all newbies / new members to read all the FAQ, before they can post, like with other forums where they need to accept the terms and conditions of the site upon registration. Well, we know that majority of registrants doesn't actually read that anyways. But, it might work on this site to reduce users who keep creating threads and asking the same questions over and over again.

I have somehow Cool deleted all my previous posts not knowingly it would decrease my Activity level and Member rank. Any suggestion on how to restore my old posts?

There should be a warning somewhere that deleting our posts causes an Activity level to decrease  Undecided

Ough, that's terrible. They should keep your activity and decrease only posts.

There is no way for you to restore your posts, unfortunately. You could ask an admin to restore it manually, but it's very very unlikely that he will grant your request.

Ah, so activity cannot decrease. Good to know.

If your posts in a whole period are deleted then you will lose your activity in that period for ever. So the best thing is to make many posts each period in different sections.
