LOL, it's been 8-10K on hitbtc for a while and will go to 6K today. on bitrex the price will hit 10K in less when a week! let's face the truth, the coin is dead, the dev abandoned it and just steals time with vague messages. if you want to exit with at least some money at all, now is a bit late, but still possible. in a month this coin would be 3-5K with no buyers at all! people who got it at 10-13K will fill like ones who bought it at 30K
This does not look good anymore. The lower trend line has been broken and I speculate we might see Aeon go down to 10k satoshis before the end of the year. Good luck to us loyal supporters and bag holders.

@smooth. Is there any chance we will see the code rebase happen this year? I know you want to do everything slow with Aeon since you only work on it in your spare time. But if you can, an estimated time of when the rebase will happen will be great.

You can read all about the technical details at the Aeon ANN thread. But yes, it has the same code base because it was forked from Monero. One of the Monero lead developers is also the developer of Aeon.
Before investing let it be known to you that development is almost like a leisure activity for smooth. Do not expect anything big.

Hello Aeoners. Is HitBTC very slow right now or is it only me? I have been trying to open the exchange but it freezes and it is very unusable. Are the having a big inflow of new people trading over there like it did with Poloniex 3 months ago?
I've heard from several reliable sources that HitBTC are selective scamming their users, avoid like the plague.

It's nice to see that Aeon has remained stable after every other altcoin crashed from their highs. I hope smooth rolls out the code rebase soon with LMDB implemented. I would love to run nodes on my old laptops.

Have you seen how cheap you can buy Aeon on HitBTC?! i've heavily stocked up.
How heavy? You cannot even buy a bitcoin worth of Aeon without bringing up the price to 30k satoshis. That is 2 times the price it is now. The same in Bittrex. A whale trade to buy as much as he can but he had no choice but to move the price up to 50k satoshis.
Don't worry. Someone will take care of that soon.

There should be. I speculate that if deposits and withdrawals come back in Bittrex we will see a lot of casual holders start dumping their Aeon bringing the price down back under 20k satoshis.
Some miners might also be waiting to dump their coins.

aeon trading is going on at bittrex, just the wallet is on maintenance.
Does anyone know when Bittrex is going to enable aeon wallet again? I don't understand what is the reason for someone to buy the coin if you can't trade it currently.
Who is this whale? He suddenly appears and buys a lot of Aeon spending 10 to 20 bitcoins at a time and then disappears. Aeon is one of the most stable cryptocoins in this time of market crashes and market busts. Maybe that is the reason why the whale keeps coming back.
Lets hope there are 100 whales and not just one Cthulhu who would now own million of AEON.
