It's also funny seeing Aeon barely having any volume on Bittrex while the scam Bytecoin is enjoying the life in the top 10 at coinmarketcap and having good liquidity in Poloniex.

Completely agree.  Purely speculation but I believe the Poloniex team just bought up as much Bytecoin as they possibly could then introduced it to their marketplace.  Why not?  I would, lol

Nothing. It just wants to follow big brother Monero.

Still strong!  Apologies for my ignorance, is it literally attached to the Monero stock price?  Or just when the price rises speculators will also get Aeon as its Monero's little brother?

Smooth is the dev for Aeon and one of the core monero devs as well. So I guess its technology is tied directly with monero.

I wonder if there is an Aeon roadmap for future development.

No actual connection to Monero's price.  It is just a closely related project.

Here in London politicians are trying to use terrorist attacks as a excuse to regulate the Internet  Roll Eyes  It sucks but Theresa May is by far the favorite to win the election.

Heavily encrypted coins are the future, I can feel it.

Given the memory requirements otherwise, you will need LMDB first, before you can support 32bit clients.

Honestly this.  Even in terms of making aeon usable for people with "normal" computers, AKA 64 bit clients, it's still pretty difficult to run the daemon for it.  I feel 8 GB's of RAM is pretty average of regular computers, and since aeon is basically all stored on RAM, it's tough... Hopefully LMDB is easy to port over to aeon since Monero has already done so.

Are we looking at the same volume? It's BTC2.53 today.

generally aeon volume on bittrex is presently 2-6 btc per day...
but global "speed" and market volumes are so accelerating in this period....
we stick to it firmly.

What do you mean by global speed? I think you're making that up.

The price is going down a little right now. It's a good time to pick up some coins for a discount.

He means that people started increasingly buy altcoins. Awareness for whole crypto increased and this time way more for alts then for Bitcoin.  AEON volume is solid long term, actually a tiny bit reduced lately. Compared to second half of 2016 when anon coins were "in".  That will sooner or latter return. Lets hope AEON will make some progress till then and be more users friendly.  I do totally agree with you that delisting from Bittrex would make this user friendliness much more worse. But I dont believe that could happen at all. User friendliness is also to be added to more exchanges as it was mention in few posts up.

But the irony is bytecoin is having all the volume because it was lucky enough to be listed in Poloniex. Aeon is a risk to be delisted from Bittrex if the volume goes down.

Come on. AEON will not be delisted form Bittrex because of volume. It can be delisted if soemthing goes wrong and become oboslete.

No I'm not saying Aeon is dying or anything. Bittrex has a policy of delisting coins that have low volume for an extended period of time. As much as it might suck we as Aeon holders should do a some promoting ourselves.

We can start by having an Aeon signature if your signature space is vacant.

AEON is not having low volume on Bittrex!!   Last month is quite low and was $359,164

Agreed, its not fair.  Is there any way we can petition Poloniex to start trading Aeon?

I think theres huge potential with Aeon.  smooth is a fantastic developer and is applying all Monero advancements to Aeon.  It isn't a premined scamcoin like Bytecoin.  I foresee privacy features being the most important feature of crypto currency in the future.  I'm sure intelligence agencies are furiously attempting to monitor all coins as we speak.

Anyone? The silence on the issue doesn't help the project. It's better to be honest than ignore the reality that there's only 1 official developer in this.

I know it's an opensource project. How can I coding newbie like me help?

I know a bit of C++ and am willing to help. So far I've mostly focused on Monero with a few PRs submitted, but I'm getting more and more interested in Aeon lately. I've ported fireice_uk's XMR-Stak-NVIDIA to Aeon and have also submitted a patch that fixes some build errors encountered on AppVeyor.

Because Aeon's development style is a bit different from Monero's, for now I'll stick with Monero while keeping an eye on Aeon. This attitude was recommended by smooth.

With Moneros pump Aeon looks looks like a possible play.  It's been flat for a while and appears to be due for a pump of it's own.  Not for any fundamental reason mind you, but because it's the poor man's monero.

Come on, everything is growing now for months. Not just Monero. actually Monero least since is so much new capital entered crypto that have no ideas what anything in Crypto is and means and they throw this capital to anything that crawls.  Yes Monero also profit from this new capital and will profit greatly on long term.

AEON is also making ATHs now and then but fall out of top100 and now is close to top150 coins by marketcap. After bubble burst AEON will return to around rank 50-70.

Exactly. This does not look like 'flat for a while' to me (even the BTC price has been on a steady climb). It is just up a bit less than a lot of more hyped coins.
