Morocco has already defeated all odds against them, today as they play France both the African continent and the Arabic countries are all routing for them. The should go make us proud as they defeated our African brother that denied their root to go play for France. Things like this are what makes the Africa teams weak because our best exports has been bought by the foreigners to play for them while we settle for second bests.

I think I agree with your arguments. Many teams which were known as best lost easy matches in this tournament. Who could have guessed Japan was gonna take over Spain and eliminate Germany. Noone. Who guessed Morocco finishing tournament group as leader. And even beat Portugal later on. Noone in my opinion. I think Senegal especially deserved to go more in this tournament. But they had unlucky draw and lost to England.

I don't agree with all these permutations and combinations. If Morocco is destined to win, then they will win irrespective of whomever be their opponents. There is no guarantee that if Croatia was their opponent in the final, then they would win. Now we are talking about a team that has beaten very strong teams such as Belgium, Spain and Portugal. If they can do so much, then it is not an impossible to get two more wins against France and Argentina.

LOL.. this is a world cup of the underdogs, no matter how you want to paint it. During the hundred plus years of world cup history, we never had this many upsets in a single edition. This world cup has already created history, irrespective of what happens in the next three matches.

Well, if achieving greatness was ever easy. I guess a greater number of the world population would all be great individuals, and maybe greatest wouldn't be as great as we see it today, it would be seen as a common thing like we see other common things, greatness wouldn't be celebrated like we celebrate today.

And how do we achieve greatness?
Achieving greatness for most people simply means - doing the impossible, that is getting through successfully with something majority out there believe to be impossible to do.

Morocco beating France today appears impossible for majority of people, and if by chance together with luck and good play, they end up beating France....
Beating Argentina is another task majority think is impossible for Morocco, but if they can get through this two teams successfully, I tell you that Morocco team will automatically become one of the greatest players in the world of football, people will talk about them, celebrate them after this world cup is over and on till the next world cup, because to many, they have done the impossible.

I think this alone has given Africa 11 slots in the next world cup if I got it correctly. If they get knocked out at this stage it's already a big win for them. Some people are not in for sizing or talking of Morocco because of Morocco is from African country is based on the people who they found in Portugal team but after which Portugal still use the match so is something that made people to be surprised and being interested in Morocco because no one expected Morocco to perform such a way that miracle will be the people that will send c Ronaldo group home or not to qualify to go to final so it is unbelievable

Agreed, and that's again why I say we cannot look at a small sample size like World Cup with just 5 games. League performance is much better. I mean, Liverpool has lost to Villa, letting in 7 goals, but that was also an outlier and doesn't mean neither that Alisson sucked or his defenders did.

I don't like to use stats also because weaker teams will let in more shots, so a goalie can seem heroic for stopping 10 shots but most goalies will keep out 10/10 when kept on their toes, it's actually those keepers that stop 1 shot an entire game that's impressive. The concentration you must have to do nothing for 80 minutes and then suddenly be forced to make 1 save, that's what the big bucks are for!

I agree with your take. The France Morrocco match will be a very tough one for both teams. However, do not forget that Morroco already beat Belgium, Spain and Portugal in this tournament. These European countries are know for their football prowess just like France. I firmly believe that they have what it takes to go head-to-head with France. The concern I have right now is that the game will go into extra time and then the winner will be decided in a penalty shoot-out. Rooting for Morrocco.

griezmann is a very active midfielder, I saw in several France matches he became the man of the match. Besides that, Francis also has 3 extraordinary strikers, so the chances for Morocco to win are very small. The experience of the players on the front lines and also in the middle of France to destroy a team's strong defense is not in doubt. Regragui is a very good coach, he is able to read all the strategies his opponent is running, Morocco is lucky to have him, what strategy will Regragui make against France!!

A league's 38 seasonal games, plus Europe and cup ties is a better estimate of prowess (though it should be added he has 1 goal and 2 assists in the last couple of seasons).

Costa Rica was not a strong team. And because of their lack of match strategy, they conceded 7 goals to teams like Spain. Spain is a strong team, but they don't have a strong attack to score 7 goals. They managed it only because of Costa Rica's poor match tactics. Costa Rica's performance against Spain was very poor. They can't play well. We saw Spain's dominance throughout the match. The Spanish players controlled the match. But Spain could not dominate in any subsequent match. Spain's first and last win in this World Cup was against Costa Rica.

This is why football most time is not that predictable and we should learn from this. Discrimination is what could kill a man and we are already seeing it. I hope to see Morocco in the final match is which going to be a dream come through. Almost every matches in this world cup came with surprises from the group stages even up till now, even tomorrow there is going to be another surprise. This is indeed what cup of surprises.
