I dont remember some good publicity around bitcoin till the day, besides they had visited some big farm in the USA and showing the value of 1000 dollars or something near it, all news around bitcoin are made to try to kill or hide it since the begining, till the moment they had fail, bitcoin is getting bigger and stronger, soo they need to be more creative and even with that they cant destroy or stop bitcoin.
I hate to say it this way but it is just like what is happening with Donald Trump in the US election right now. They are trying to be as negative about him as possible basically all of the time on every sort of media possible, and it has been easing up recently with the convention and everything but it's still just being negative about someone they don't like. This is the same for Bitcoin; they don't like it and thus they're going to paint it as negatively as possible at every turn. Eventually they'll run out of ammo to attack it with and have to revert to their most basic attacks, and that's when you'll know Bitcoin has beat them.

Its not surprising its always the media that destroys everything by publicizing the different thing. When people the hear the country Iraq, the first thing that comes in their mind is war when it fact the country is very much peaceful during Saddam's time. Same thing with Libya.

This shows that there are beneficial uses for bitcoin. And that is in addition to the main uses which are a method of payment, method of sending money, and store of value.
yeah but also there are peoples who are against bitcoin and want bitcoin to vanish from this world as by doing the negative publicity of bitcoin !I know the charities are being more profited by bitcoin donation as due to its liqudity and price volatile and they are supporting it but i think this may be politicians behind in such issues !!

maybe one piece in five is a hatchet job and it's reversed compared to back then.

[IMO] they do that for dropping the price, and after the price drop they will buy Bitcoin as much as they can. And then they will make a good news about Bitcoin til people come back again to use Bitcoin, and then they sell their Bitcoin to have a profit.
That is one good trading strategy!

Media will always try to spread the negativity towards common people in such an extent that they will eventually create a bad taste towards certain innovation or ideas.
In this case they always are trying to influence common people to create hate towards Bitcoin as it was used by some criminals and drug dealers.

I think you are wrong, the media is a neutral party. Because I think the media also spread the word about the benefits bitcoin. I also know and use bitcoin because of acquiring of the media. Just imagine if without the media, maybe people in the world do not know bitcoin. LOL
What you are telling is a long time ago , but in today Media is the first who are creating the small thing as a big bubble. They just wanted their channel to get high TRP so that they can get more revenue through advertisement. In my view today media are the one big threat to the public as most of the times they just spread the rumors with getting full detail about the actual news.

The media (television channels and newspapers) are under the control of governments and as the governments do not want bitcoin (because they are of the view that it is easy to use for criminals) so they use these media source for destroying this technology.
There is hardly any mention of bitcoin in the UK in mainstream news channels, and if there is its usually negative, even the positive stories seem to have a negative connotation to them. The negativity doesn't seem to add fluctuations to the price so much now, but I'm sure that it puts people off. I mentioned to a friend that I was investing in BTC and his response was 'Isn't that only used by criminals', we could do with some more positivism from the media.

Thats normal in report on bitcoin because almost all of illegal buyer, user use this bitcoin in sending their payment to the seller of drugs or illegal Guns. But news didnt report about bitcoin's advantages? Yup because only few people wants to hear it, and some people watching this will feel boring. And for me, media dont want to destroy bitcoin because they just reporting what happening in the world. Even if they want to destroy it they cant.
The media knows too well that bad news sells better than good news. We can't expect them to be all praises to bitcoin if they themselves are not that familiar with it. Governments all over the world are going to be pushing the anti-cash agenda soon, this means that people will search for alternatives, and Bitcoin is the only alternative for freedom once physical cash is removed. They know it, which is why they will keep attacking Bitcoin, but we will win.
Most people don't care about freedom with their cash.. They only care about ease of use and security through governments backing part of your savings when something bad happens.
At the moment any mention of bitcoin in the mainstream news is good imo. More people need to be aware of it first, later they can then consider using it. More and more of my friends are asking me how to get into bitcoin, so I guess the tides are slowly turning.

you seriously need to stop googling for bitcoin news and posting anything you find on here. this is an old article by the way from 3 months ago.
besides there has always been some kind of negative news about bitcoin in the media. many times it is like that becasue they are looking for something hot to post as news and many times it is because they are against bitcoin.
