Bankers don't understand bitcoin which is why they don't like it. When the financial industry starts to embrace crypto like after bakkt is released then bankers will change their tune

Bankers are professionals and mighr probably they know every detail of financial transaction including how things around different financial institutions. They can read charts, tables, and statistics with ease. With these capability, they already have advantages if ever they will enter cryptocurrency. I believe that most bankers are already entered the cryptocurrency. They know that with proper knowledge and skills, they can take advantage to earn profits in cryptocurrency.

Asking a CEO of a bank what they think of #bitcoin is like asking the CEO of a taxi company what they think of uber.

Do you agree with the sentence above?

Do you think the bankers all hate BTC?

Or they have already taken part in cryptocurrency world?

Looking forward for your ideas.

Yes,they may hate bitcoin because of bitcoin becomes mainstream payment method then there will be no need of banks so they will be left out with no job so they will be holding their job by promoting the bitcoin in upside down way.

But if a person who knows how this economics works will never support the banking system they may just look for an alternative like BTC.

At the state Bitcoin is right now, I'm sure they love it!

The relative low market capitalization allows rich people like bankers to make money out of price and media manipulation, taking advantage of those 15 years old who think Bitcoin is here to make them billionaires with 0 work.
But when/if Bitcoin brake free of their control and becomes too widely used, the fees they'll lose from all kind of transactions and the small bank accounts will make bankers Bitcoin enemies. That is something I'm afraid of to be honest since they surely have big control over the system.

I don't think so. It is true that most banks don't like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies due to its decentralized nature but there are also cryptocurrency friendly banks that lets their clients use their bank accounts for transactions related to Bitcoin which means that not all banks are against it. There are also banks that are already researching about cryptocurrencies and blockchain because they see the potential of these technologies. And who knows, maybe some of those banking giants are one of the whales of crypto market.

I think that you are wrong.
Bankers have no difference what financial assets to manage.
If states legalize bitcoin as a currency, trust me - the first to vote for bitcoin are bankers.

Im not so sure now. I think behind closed doors many many banks are looking
at creating bitcoin investment products. As posted above they are in the business
of making money and they can see potential in their move and obviously in bitcoin.

I created a thread about the second largest bank in Germany creating one such move
> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.48836343

Stuttgart Stock Exchange (Börse Stuttgart), Germany’s second largest exchange and the ninth largest in Europe, is scheduled to launch its upcoming crypto trading platform in the first half of 2019 in collaboration with Berlin-based fintech company solarisBank which will also offer crypto-trading banking services for the stock exchange.

Categorically this is not a General conclusion for all Bankers. Over here in my country, I have a lot of friends who worked in the Bank and at the same time are understand the purpose of Digital Currency (Bitcoin). For I have seen many of them who find interest and also have a group of people who mine BTC for them while they get busy with their Jobs.

The bank itself might dont like bitcoin, cryptos and stuffs but the people who operates inside the bank has free will to like or dislike bitcoin.

Unless there is a policy that specific bank runs that liking bitcoin and stuffs would lead them to be fired. AFAIK, theres one financial institution that has this kind of rule. They may dislike it for now but they can reverse it afterwards.

bankers, at least professional bankers should be free of any sentiments when money talk
bitcoin turned out to be one of the most profitable assets- in 3 years time its value grew 50+ times
find me another asset that has shown similar results?
I'm pretty sure many of them are holding to some bitcoins while cussing it publicly:)
also for some of them it is different , take for example, Goldman Sachs :
https://www.investinblockchain.com/goldman-sachs-bitcoin-trading-desk/
they see the potential bitcoin offers and the first ones to enter markets always gain advantage
so in general, yes bankers are opposed to legalising bitcoins and making it fulfil your usual money 3 roles
as store of value, medium of exchange or a unit of measurement ,but sooner or later this will change

Bankers are businessmen. I think that they are now investing in Bitcoin in order to make money on market manipulations that are currently taking place.

Bitcoin will not be able to destroy the banking system

That's an overstatement, most banks hate BTC but not all banks hate BTC. In my country one of them started showing interest by mining Bitcoin(article).

Did a quick search on other countries. Some of them are fine with Bitcoin found this old thread of Bitcoin friendly banks. There's probably more now that Bitcoin is getting bigger year after year.

I do not think so, they have to defend their banking system with FIAT money for now, but they expect the massive adoption of cryptocurrency, then they will show themselves to the people as great protectors of cryptocurrency.

In these moments of the bear market they are accumulating. Wink
