The testimony is that pre-orders are and were pure manure and I'm glad that this sort of thing is in the past. Even tho I have a decent accumulation in several wallets from that time.

I'm pretty much out the amount that most people on here would only dream of having in their wallet yet long forgotten and almost can't remember to that time.

Is this a dead thread? Nothing will happen with this?  Huh
It's been pretty much like 4 months since I last took interest in this thread and at the time it was made known that hashcrap didn't have much if anything to sell to give back to former clients. Short answer, game over and we get nothing.

What a way to close out 2014 on this note. The ultimate symbol of the last 12 months. Cheesy

Waldo, be honest now. Is their any chance we will get anything back?

If there is nothing left how are we ever gonna get anything back?

I can answer that.  It's pretty much a "no".  They filed for bankruptcy and apparently owe $40M.  What assets do they really have?  Likely nothing.  Maybe they might sell all assets for $1M, but I would venture to guess that is being generous.

So, if the assets were $1M and they owe $40M, then you're be lucky to be getting 1/40 of the dollars you paid.  So, if you paid $1000, you might get $25.

And, since the dollars you paid via Waldo are lower than the dollars paid to Hashfast, you're looking at something even less.

You might as well forget about it.

Ah well, it was nice having some hope while it lasted. Wonder if we'll even see a Satoshi out of this.

Anything new?
2 and a half months ago it was reported that there was some odd thousand #s of chips going to be offered as repayment and then some intermediary set up to protect shareholders. I'm still pretty unclear about where we stand or what's going to happen.

Any news?

About 2 weeks ago they had another meeting to discuss the LB deal- which apparently may be falling through.

For the record, everyone, as far as a refund actually being in our hands- that won't be until 2015 most likely. People still have until October to file claims. This will be a lonnng ordeal.

what does that mean ? what do we have to do? you organized a groupbuy, so imo it's up to you trying to get a refund and then pay us back what you get

Lawyers and hashfast are trying to come to a deal. The latest one fell through, meaning they are going to work on another one.

I'm well aware of what I organized, you're just repeating what is already being done and in play as we speak. I'm the one who is working with the lawyers while everyone else is sitting back saying "give me my money waldohoover".

With that said, I'm assuming you haven't been doing any reading in the threads of mine or any other hashfast thread or read news on our website that all shows that we are in a legal battle with HashFast and it's going to be a long one. There's not much news to update with until a deal is finalized. So until then, the lawyers will be fighting it out. I'll update everyone once the lawyers actually come to a  deal.

thanks for this short summary waldo, i did not follow your threads a long time - just read your last post and did not really understand it -- thanks again for your work !!

I replied to your PM Sinewayv Smiley

But like Chef is saying, it's going to take a long time for this case to show some results.

To sum up what has been going on so far is they do not have enough to pay creditors, they are sitting on ASIC chips and may use them as repayment, they are granted the permission of new sales without acquiring new loans.

The biggest creditor DM- had a $2M B1 order, to which is now $15M in their claim. HF obviously cannot pay that, so they are open to accepting more hash power at a later time. This factor is important because whatever the decision is, that's a direct relations to all other creditors in the dilution refund. If they want the refund, that would hurt ours (and other smaller creditors) more than going the chip route.

Next decision made by the courts/creditors I'll post up here.

So they basically have been hindered at selling chips that might have been profitable 3/4 a year ago? I doubt they'll be able to squeeze anything out of liquidating that wasted silicon  Undecided

If all goes right I'm assuming we'll be getting back ~60% of the investment in USD and not in the original BTC denomination to which was given to HF? Or more realistically, we'll get a group cut % of whatever HF has left (be it money or equipment) and then that is either divvied up or put to work for us. Ideally, we'd just get our original coin investment back minus the attorney fees. Grin

Hi filharvey,

It's come to my attention you have left negative trust on my account for an issue that is completely out of my hands.

I'm sure you are well aware I have ponied up the money for legal funds for the HashFast lawsuit - I would like to inform you that if you do not remove the negative trust and/or any negative remarks against me or my company (in regards to HF) this will mean that you agree to forfeiting your initial investment.

I will not allow my name nor my company to be slandered while I work hard trying to get your investment back.

If you agree to forfeit your initial investment there is no need to reply.

If you agree to my terms of not talking trash on me/company while I work to get you your funds, please remove the negative trust and either leave a neutral or positive saying TBD.

This is not a strong-arm tactic, this is just common sense.

It's pretty simple, do not feel you're entitled to a refund while you talk trash on me or my company. If you feel that you're entitled to do that, then you agree those funds you put up for HF are lost, and you can talk trash all day.

(PS- This was only brought to my attention when someone PM'd me asking "Why do you have negative trust when HF scammed everyone?")

I really hope you choose the adult/correct decision,
WH

Looks like I will not be seeing my refund, as I will not be strong armed, and blackmailed into changing my view on how this has been handled.

fil

Well looks like if there is ever a refund, Sean's Outpost will be receiving my with-held investment.

I hope that they see it.
