Hello everyone, since May 29th, 2023 I have not been able to access my account in BKEX Exchange because the exchange has blocked all trading for all customers. To date there is no information or update about what is happening with our money and whether we will get it back one day or not. I think we would be cheated. There are supposedly companies on Twitter that can restore the coins and transfer them back to the responsible victims. My wife is it possible and can these people be trusted? Has anyone ever heard of this company TECHGUARDFORT SERVICES (Twitter: @Techguardfort3)?
I feel sorry for you reading this, but at the same time, I guess you put this upon yourself. Aside from the fact that it is not so good to trust any centralised arrangement, which includes exchanges, it is even worse to deal with an exchange that is not really recognised. I wouldn't want to exonerate you on whether you are new to the system or not, you should have asked questions before now or even done the necessary research by yourself to know the best-rated ones or the top 5 ones which you can choose from. This will still not totally save anyone from cheating but will limit the possibility to the bearest minimum.

Sorry about that, but next time, if you want to keep your crypto assets, use non-custodial wallets. You can search for it if you are not familiar with it.

Regarding your question, I warn you not to make the matter worse, for this, I advise you not to trust any service recovering money, they are liars. I do not think such exists truly unless you contact a lawyer directly who can contact them in case you have big money there and you really want to take the matter up. But in the absence of this, it should be another fraud. The internet is so porous and susceptible to anything these days. Don't do it unless they will recover it for free and you pay them later. Be wise!

The first mistake has been make and you are likely going to make a second mistake. Before reading what others have said in this thread, I will like to give my advice based on my experience about cryptocurrency scam. The TECHFUADFORT SERVICES could also be the same as the BKEX who is trying to rip you the second time.

It is wrong to save in exchanges and especially in unpopular exchanges. I don't even know the reason why people run to unknown and risky exchanges. Could it be because it is where shitcoin developers easily list their coins.

There are supposedly companies on Twitter that can restore the coins and transfer them back to the responsible victims. My wife is it possible and can these people be trusted? Has anyone ever heard of this company TECHGUARDFORT SERVICES (Twitter: @Techguardfort3)?

I have said it before that might be allies of the scammers or the scammers themselves who will end up asking for more funds from you to retrieve the stolen coins. Even if you tell them to continue working that when they retrieve the money, you will give them a certain percentage. How sure are you that if they have the powers to retrieve stolen money, they will send it to you instead of to themselves.

Sorry to hear that you lost your investments in BKEX.

This is the reason why we ought to do proper research before investing and using some exchange platforms. Although, sometimes our research may even fail us, so, it's a lesson to be learned.

The BKEX itself has been alleged to be involved in wash trading, fake volume, and so on. And honestly, what's way worse than losing your savings would be believing in companies that claim they can retire them back.

I hope the lessons have been learnt though .. be very careful when choosing exchange platforms.

What I really know is that Bkex had a suspension when it came to its withdrawal because it was said to have been used for money laundering, and I don't see any news about whether it has been closed, but I think it seems like it is closed now because I can't open his website now.

This is the only difficult thing when you have money hidden in a centralized exchange and then have a problem like this where we really have no competition. So the hardware wallet we have is really different.

Everyone encourages people here not to store their funds on exchanges since the ancient times. And sadly, you have kept your funds there for what reason? But if that's what happened, we're sorry that your funds might be gone forever if they don't have a good support to reply on you.

My wife is it possible and can these people be trusted? Has anyone ever heard of this company TECHGUARDFORT SERVICES (Twitter: @Techguardfort3)?
Don't make yourself add another problem in your heads. Only that exchange will answer and help you if you have gone access with trading. Not any third party that's likely to scam you again.

If you don't learn the lesson from your mistake then you're likely to have another mistake again.

I have read about what happened to the BKEX platform after they stole their clients' funds. They suddenly stopped withdrawals without prior warning, claiming that the clients were involved in money laundering, and the police investigated the platform team. In their announcement, they did not mention any proof or important details of what these lying scammers called. They currently have no support to respond to customer inquiries about what happened, and their social media accounts have been inactive since late May of the previous year. This indicates that they have disappeared, and there are no solutions for the customers who deposited their funds to recover them.

I'm sorry for your loss, OP; you should have learned this lesson from the beginning of your involvement in crypto. CEX platforms are not safe.; many cases of fraud, bankruptcies, and hacks happened with many other exchange platforms. Do not trust any person, company, or Twitter account claiming they can recover your stolen funds on BKEX. These are scammers who will ask you to send them the transaction hash of the deposits or screenshots and then lure you into a trap. Be cautious.

Op, haven't you heard of the saying that don't store your funds in centralized systems? NOT YOU KEY NOT YOUR COIN? The idea of storing funds in exchange is highly discouraged as somany incident similar or even worst than your case is very much possible. As for the exchange you mentioned, it my first time and it still doesn't ring a bell to me. You should try as much as possible to use well known exchange for your transaction. Even some know exchange as still open to so don't store your funds in them.
I don't think there's anything that can be done for now about your funds and you should avoid contacting whoever you meet on social media claiming to be able to recover your funds as many of them might be criminals and you may end up losing even more that already lost.

I assume you are looking for a third party who will help you restore your account and get back your funds. I advise being careful when you are going to do such deals with anyone. The first mistake was storing crypto in exchange, and eventually they blocked the funds. Hiring someone to recover funds would be a second mistake. I haven't heard of something like this service that could truly help recover funds from exchange. Otherwise, I doubt you are trying to shill something that calls for soft shilling.

Crypto Exchange BKEX Halts Withdrawals Amid Money Laundering Investigation

What op said about bkex exchange freezing his funds is correct. The exchange is under investigation by the authorities for an alleged involvement in money laundering and they had to halt all customers withdrawals in order to comply with investigations.

~

This is the price you've to pay for storing your funds in an exchange. Also, I wouldn't advise you to get help from Twitter, wait for the authorities to finish the investigations to know whether you'll get your funds back or not.

Sad to say that you are dealing with the wrong site and making a deposit without knowing the legitimacy of this site. And the big mistake is that you consider the exchange wallet as your storage wallet. Maybe if you are active in the forum, you will be guided and have ideas about the things you did in the past and save you from losing your money. And now that was gone already, it can be forever as the BKEX couldn't give you back for that long. Even using reputable exchange was not recommended for it.

Well, tried to communicate with their support but not to those people who ask for money in exchange for their services - they will just scam you.

I have not used this exchange that you mentioned before, the exchange that is popular in my country in binance, Houbi and Coinbase but people use binance very well here. But OP, you made a mistake to have stored your crypto on a centralized exchange, those exchange can face some management issue, FED issue or hack issue any day in the future and if you store your coins there, it will just be trapped. I advice you not to ever store your coins on exchange again. Instead, store you coins in an external wallet, like electrum and hardware wallet.

TECHGUARDFORT SERVICES (Twitter: @Techguardfort3)?

"Tech Guard Fort can help you recover your cryptocurrency or digital assets through password, seed phrase, and hard drive recovery."

You don't understand what they're offering. The company is into wallet recovery, meaning that if they're legit (and I don't know that) they're going to attempt to for instance break the password to your desktop wallet to give you access. They aren't going to recover coins from a centralized exchange because you don't have their wallet files and you don't know their seeds.
To get money from a defunct exchange you need to contact a lawyer.

You should only trade on popular exchanges, they are less likely to be scams than the unpopular ones. I hope for your sake that the amount you lost is not huge because right now, you have no chance of recovering your money. Those accounts on X claiming to be bitcoin recovery companies are all scammers. There is no way to recover stolen bitcoin. Employing their services would mean you’re willing to pay for a lie.

Many thanks for the answer. I didn't know that BKEX was a bad exchange. I have always bought and stored my coins in Binance. Since a few coins were not yet listed on Binance and only on BKEX, that's why I invested money there. It's been months and the stock market hasn't given any information or written a tweet on Twitter. I think all the money is gone and that really hurts...
Unfortunately, no authority intervened and wanted to examine the case and send these fraudsters behind bars...

It's a lesser known small exchange so there is less buzz. My guess is, most authorities have no idea of what has happened or worse, its existence.

But yeahhh, they have likely ran away. Their website too has been inaccessible from what I can see, see recent screenshots: https://urlscan.io/domain/www.bkex.com.

Tread cautiously with small exchanges, if you must use them, keep the amount in moderation. As much as possible, stick with the big ones however try not to develop a false sense of security as they are custodial platforms and not immune to hacks, funds mishandling, exit-scam, etc. so don't keep funds on custodial exchanges that you're not actively trading. For long term storage, get a non-custodial wallet like: Open Source Hardware Wallets

It's sad how little people know about bitcoin.
OP did not know the saying "not your keys, not your coins" and held everything on a centralized exchange platform.
Instead of choosing a well established exchange he chose little known bitcoin casino. What's a difference between an exchange and a casino that poses as an exchange?

Here's a description from coinmarketcap.com :
BKEX Perpetual Futures supports 1-100X leverage, double-position mode, multi-position mode, and tiered liquidation. BKEX Ultimate-M supports 500X leverage, and users can place orders when looking at the candlestick chart. In addition, there is no funding fee for Ultimate-M.

Any exchange that offers 100x leverage is a casino. An exchange that offers 500x becomes really suspicious casino. You should know to stay away from these companies, unless you just want to gamble on a shady platform, then go ahead, it's your money. When I gamble I at least do it in a verified casino.

Then OP is looking for companies that will recover his funds from the exchange, which again shows how little he knows about bitcoin. These people will scam you out of the rest of your money. Don't expect any real recovery to happen if you pay them.

This is an example of "Not your Keys, Not your coins".
If you want to hold your crypto for a long term make sure that you own the wallet.
If you would use exchange or trading platform make sure that it is from a trusted and tested sites.
We are talking about money and investment here don't let your laziness be the reason why you loss your money, do some research before putting up money on trading sites.

I will give you straight answer, the Twitter(X) companies are scammers, you will likely lose more of it to them.

Your first mistake: Using a centralized exchanges to keep your Coin; This is one of the problems you encounter when you keep your coins on any centralized exchanges, you may lose access to your coins because not your keys, not your coins. You don't have access to the private keys, it's the exchange that does and when anything happen beyond your control, you will be logout without having access to your funds.

You can engage the official handle on Twitter, if they are active they should give you feedback when you complain to them or check their discord channel.

Your second mistake: is the one you are about to make. If you encounter any exchange problems like this, the only person that can help you is their official support handle, any person that claim will help you retrieve your account will further scam you. Most often, they will ask for your login details so they can have access to your funds. Always avoid them.

Centralized platforms like exchanges should be avoided like the plague.

Either they turn out to be scams or they find other ways to lose/steal your money. Just look at the never-ending drama of scam exchanges and "wallet hacks" in the last 15 years. Anything centralized is liable to become corrupt or hacked, sooner or later.

You should never use a centralized service like a CEX, if possible. Always make sure you have the sole custody of your money and your wallet. As long as you follow that advice, you will be fine. There is no way someone could steal your money without gaining access to your wallet. But as long as you use your brain you can stay safe from all scammers and hackers.

Sorry for your lose because I don't think there are any company that have the capacity to recover them back, and it's only the government that can make a serious attempt of recovering that money, which I don't think is 100% certain, so if anyone is telling you that you should pay him so that he can recover that money back for you, just know that he is just trying to milk you the more, because scammers are getting sophisticated everyday, so it's near impossible to recover what is already in their possession.
Another thing I would advice is before using an exchange, try to do your own findings, to know how credible and popular they are world wide so that you wouldn't fall into something like this again in the future, because what I perceived about this your bkex is that, they are not really an exchange, it's just a ponzi scheme that disguise as an exchange.

Snip

Don't make use of any exchange or platform that has no global recognition or is reputable, secondly, don't let some people deceive you for helping you restore what has already gone, they will rather use that means to extort more from you because they cannot do anything to that, of you that has the asset couldn't recover your money, who else could, don't be deceived.
when  we talk about exchange we need to have to exchange our security and ownership of our coin so that is why we have always advice that you only use a reputable exchange instead of risking your coins on an exchange that can lock you out at anytime this is the condition with the ops presently and that have a lot to do with what he will eventually come up wit at some point.

For sure if he chooses to go after possible recovery through a third party, it will further expose the ops to more dangers or losses because he will eventually lose as he will not get any positive result, and he needs to just move on from the current condition.
