Forgot to mention earlier, everything was delivered today. I seriously couldn't be happier, dealing with quake was fantastic from beginning to end. Great communication, great price, fast shipping, packaging was the best I've ever seen... Amazon ain't got shit on him. Should also mention that I paid him directly without escrow. He's a stand-up guy, no doubt.

Whenever you're ready to sell the rest of your server PSUs, hit me up.

Glad you're happy! Smiley

Apologies for digging up a really old post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1037372.0;all

We have a significant stock of Model: PET1300-12-054NA E and would be looking to put them into service.  Could you point me towards any breakout boards or adapters for the above model.

I greatly appreciate your help and could pay you for your time.  Thanks in advance and look to hear back.

quakefiend420 i've done silly things and burnt the cables breakout board side, so i need to cut them (the burnt/oxidized cable part) and recrimp because the burnt/oxidized part is heating up to 54c now~ so not critical but need to be changed asap.

Do you know exactly what gauge of o ring i would need to buy online to recrimp them? Thanks.

I actually have some of the same terminals that I could send you, how many do you need?

Its two per cable and i got most of the one you sent me damaged (total of 12), so quite a bit. I was hoping to buy some cheap bulk online.

 Shocked

What did you do to them??? How were they damaged?

I've used jury rigged cables for a while because i'm lazy. I redid a crimp only using plyers and a hammer and a flathead screwdriver, before i got the tool to do proper crimp. And since they were working well, i just forgot about it.

But eventually it loosened and slowly got hotter and i only noticed when the yellow wires started darkening. So now i'm getting a set of o ring terminal to do the job right once and for all, at the lost of a couple of inch of wiring.

Really? Damn. They must've been pretty loose for that to happen? Like "i can pull these wires out if I pull on them" type of loose? I assume there was no damage to the breakout board's lugs?

Not that loose. Which is why its weird because i gave a good pull to every cable. But this was one with the hard yellow isolation, i think the plastic must of been holding them tight, but it loosened with the heat or something?

And no, a bit of black residue around on the + pole. Not sure whats best to clean it. I'm running them again now with different cables. If you or whoever i sell them to doesnt want to cables i guess i could just turn them into 6 to 6 pins cables instead.

Yeah, when you crimp those cables make sure you don't get the insulation in the crimp or that can happen.

I'd be curious to know this as well, never happened to me nor have any of my customers ever reported any issues with the cables I sold.  Accidentally shorted terminals together by trying to put too many on a single breakout boards, perhaps?

You're in Canada, right?  Might be cheaper for you to buy up there, then.  I'd send you 12 for a couple bucks plus actual cost of shipping if you're in the US.

Wire size 12-10, terminal size 1/4" is what you need.

Would any of the PSU's work for a Spondoolies SP20?

With an SP20, you can quite easily get by with a 900W to 1000W power supply if you downclock it. Contrary to the stated specifications, the SP20 is a really dandy 1200-1250GH miner with good efficiency. If you actually stretch for the 1700GH goal, you'll end up with a hot, loud, and inefficient (i.e. in terms of Watts/GH) device, that may not actually get to 1700GH/s. You can spend a lot of time and power the harder you push it.

Two of them would.  I'm assuming you're talking about my pile of PSUs?

Sorry pikachuy  Tongue

Thanks for all the help/advice people, but I have found an alternate solution at http://holybitcoin.com/product/hp-1200-watt-common-slot-psu-bundle/

I think these are the low efficiency ones. About 86% bare at 50% load, so maybe 83% at full load. Something to keep in mind.

No, they're very efficient.

DPS1200FB 91.19% efficient at 100% load

DPS1200FB-1 93.21% efficiency at 100% load

Where did you get your figures from?

I had the part number 419613-001 for the 1200w;
http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04286057.pdf

The 1200w one is about 85% efficient, must be a different serie.

Its fine, information is useful. And i offered to sell you one for quakefiend's asking price ;P His price before he sold out that is!

No worries, didn't mean to ignore you, I just remembered someone mention that shipping cost between Canada and USA is a lot, so I'm trying to minimize unnecessary cost to help my ROI.

Shipping is double, but the extra 15$ is probably worth the quality, or not. Dunno. Also the shipping cost is in CAD so its probably cheaper still.

I have some ATX supplies that I'd let go on the cheap if you wanted them.  Let me know if you're interested and I can get you some details on what exactly I've got, been meaning to get them listed for sale again but just haven't gotten around to it yet.  500-850W bronze to gold efficiency, IIRC.  So not quite as efficient as my server supplies, but the cheaper price per W should help make up for it in the long run.  I've actually got like 8-10 of them total, so if you wanted to work a package deal for everything I'd make you a hell of a deal.  Shipping will cost a bit though, all together they're not going to be light...  I can probably get them all in a single box though, I still have plenty of random packing material sitting around.

I used to use these to power various miners and GPU rigs back before I ended up with a ton of the 1100 and 1300 watt units that I've been selling, they were all retired at that point.  Been sitting on the shelf for a year or so.  You can use more than one to power a single miner if it exceeds the rating of a single PSU, just don't power the same hashing board with more than one PSU at a time, so like on an S5 for instance, you could power board #1 on PSU1 and board #2 and the controller on PSU2.

Let me know.

EDIT: just went and looked, here's what I've got:

2x Corsair TX750s
1x Corsair CX750M(missing some cables, I think.  All PCIe for a miner but might be short some connectors for a PC, will investigate further if you care)
1x Seasonic 850W gold
1x PC Poiwer and Cooling Silencer 610W
1x OCZ ZT550
1x Enermax Pro82+ 625W

Make me an offer I can't refuse Tongue
