A lot of people had already gave you their advices. If you still doubt then maybe my one can help you. If you have time to wait than its better to discard any doubts and to invests in BTC, after the next halving that will be in 2024 year it will definitely make a huge jump I’m sure of it.
The altcoin market is risky, you can suffer loss and also can make a profit, if you want to invest in coinmarketcap altcoins then I suggest investing in MATIC and if you want to make good money from your $200 amount then you should invest in IDO's that can give you good profit.

Crypto is not for always profit. Market condition here is totally different. 10 year expert cannot say what will happen after one hour. My suggestions for you only invest those $ which is totally extra From home need.
Also check youtube videos and forum thread to learn trading.
You can start buying crypto with low amount 50% on Dot or Top coins and then buy in parts . may be you got decent profit in next six month.

if you think it's easy, just invest $200 on a recommendation and become financially independent, then it's not.You need to learn and understand investing yourself, the advice most often does not help, it is very difficult to find a goldfish in cryptocurrency.
The crypto market is such that many of us cannot control it in any way. No one guarantees you here. If many tokens are not invested at the right time for unnecessary pumps and dumps, then the profit from the investment is often useless. One of my best choices for now is Matic. In fact, investing $ 200 in crypto is rarely profitable. Which may not be able to cover your school cost. But you can try. invest on ADA, SLP, DAR,BNB,BTC, MATIC or any others coin like thes. but if you increase your budget then hope you will be able to cover your school cost. or your Daily expenses 
There is another immportant thing we have to consider before investing. It's market situation. Some projects can be very promissing and really cool. But if there is bearish market, it will not be the best time for investing.
It's the opposite of what you've said.It is actually the best time to invest during the bear market. Everything is cheap and you buy when the prices of these cryptocurrencies are down.
You don't wait for it to go up and you're going to invest by that time because you're missing the opportunity.

ok, trading on krypto is very high risk, i say you should buy top altcoins, like bitcoin, bnb and ethereum all three coins have higher capacity, these coins are at the top rank in the market, i think it can be a safe investment when you search advantage because as long as you are still learning.
I thin OP is new in crypto, if you wanted to earn in crypto you will need a proper understanding about the different coin functions and the posible future of some projects depending on you're own evaluation or research. You will not earn in crypto if you are in hurry, crypto always needs time because if you do buy or sell without proper you will possibly end up lossing.

But buying coin now can it raise money to solve your academic problems, because i know that shit coins is mainly for investment and is like gambling you can buy today or now it can go off in market, buying altcoins expecting to get the money immediately lol... I don't know your believe because we believe is what usually work for us.

You should be the one to do your own research, people are going to shill their coins they are promoting and coins they are bag holders, do your own research it's not really complicated by doing your own research you'll learn what coins to look and how to look then for long term profit and what coins are created for pump and dum and will not last.
I think it is okay to look into those coins that were suggested by other people. But of course, do not just jump in and buy that coin. You have to study and research on them. Spend time on knowing the people behind that coin/token. You have to analyze their project and think if this will have a potential in the future. Look if their community is growing and not just compose of dummy accounts joining. Remember, that is your hard earned money you are investing. Do not just listen and follow, do your own research.
I think $200 is small for buying large types of altcoins. So you can buy TRX, DOT altcoins with your $200. These coins have the potential to pump a lot. However, since you are new to cryptocurrency, you should first gain proper knowledge about cryptocurrency. Otherwise you may lose your $200 capital.
this is not perfect time even right way to enter into crypto industry. Such way could be danger for newcomers who are unknown about hidder facts of this industry. but i can suggest you to buy any of top altcoins like bnb, sol, dot with your dollars except teher, busd, usdc cause those are stable coin. If you are much more interested than you would rather have some time to learn and gather inner knowledge
