Right now it's good time to invest because bitcoin is starting to increase so bull will coming, with $200 I recommend to invest in binance coin or ethereum these coins are good investments but don't expect that you can easily make profit in this crypto industry because patience must required here so it will take long time to earn a decent profit.

you can try to buy cheap Altcoins like ADA, XRP or other cheap ones and for 200$ you can buy some. if you already understand about crypto and try to learn daily trading maybe you can take a little profit every day there.The right choice when buying low-priced coins, I also prefer to focus on investing in coins that are cheap under $1 even under 1 cent, the chances of skyrocketing are 100x easier to achieve for cheap coins under 1 cent, Shiba Inu and Goma are 2 tokens that we deserve to prioritize because of their skyrocketing performance.

If I had $200 I would personally buy NEAR. NEAR I think is going to be a top 10 project in the next few years and is massively undervalued. NEAR has so much to offer including open forest protocol which is fighting climate change, there are games, NFT platforms, seamless bridges to ETH and more. NEAR was built by world-class developer and is backed by top VCs. Finding gems that haven’t blown up yet is the way to go since they will give you the highest returns. Yes it’s more risky but it’s the way to go if you want massive returns. I’d definitely recommend NEAR to anyone and joining the telegram will expedite the process of learning about the network.

It completely depends on you. $200 is not a huge amount to diversify your portfolio. You should know that this market is already in a very high price. Hopefully this market can go further but something opposite could also happen. So be careful. And one more thing if you are new to this market, I recommend sticking with large cap coins. Hopefully they give small gains but they are more piercing. But if you know this market, you can invest anywhere. 
Currently there are more than 12k altcoins, for 2021 I have invested around $650 in altcoins, and I invested for 10 coins, and of the 10 coins I bought in 2021 only 2 of the most profitable are Shiba Inu and HEX.

As someone who is new to the crypto world, you should try to buy coins that have a large market cap.you can see it on coinmarketcap. I suggest you buy altcoins that are in the big top 1o.
at least your money is safer because the altcoin already has a good reputation, many have made purchases and
which stores the coins are also a lot.
For beginners, don't try to buy shitcoin, it's really tempting because the increase in coins can be up to 1000% or more.
however it is only a pseudo upgrade, and very likely you lose money.

Don't put money that you can't afford into something just because you hope to make a quick buck. Thats relying only on luck and in the short run will only worsen your current situation.
You should get a job and when you have spare money on the side, thats the money you use for investments. Everything else is going to put you in debt, at worst in a debt hole you will not easily come out of.

Cardano (ADA) has lost some good part of its price, so buying it might be a good investment. In the last 1.5 months ADA lost almost 30%. This altcoin has a great potential and can aim on taking Ethereum position, or minimum stealing part of its dominance. I would say that current price is a good price to buy for a long term investment.
Polygon (MATIC) is showing good gains at the moment. It might be good to jump in for a few days or weeks in it.

Both coins that you mentioned are good for both long term and short term depends from how will you take the market,
those coins provides opportunities since we are experiencing a good market bounce now, the small spike down gives investors

personally, I would probably go for BNB and MATIC. currently both have great potential at the end of this year.
and if you want to invest bitcoin or ethereum you have to choose one to buy it and don't rush to do it because you have to wait for a slight dip between the two. and do it for the long term so that the profits you get, make you triggered to add more capital to do it.
Actually there are many choices of altcoins for us to invest in, but it would be nice for you before investing you should do research first which altcoin has a good future. If I have capital I prefer to invest DOGE coin
