Yeah but not totally depends on Bitcoin
If team is working hard
If project is developing fast then there is no effect of market and bitcoin on it
CyberMiles is perfect example for now
But problem is that team of all project don't do any announcements in dump market that's why mostly Prices of all alts start dumping

There is no direct link between the two, in fact alt coin was made "alt" meaning other than something, making altcoin an alternative coin from Bitcoin. However like there is no direct way to buy some alternative coins yet, Bitcoin and also ETH becomes the tunnel or bridge to buy these coins, frankly. For investors to buy these coins, they buy BTC/ETH first before buying these coins they wanted to buy.
There is and the correlation is made by traders. I have this believe as a trader that when bitcoin is in a down trend or showing some huge bear rally, altcoins will end up moving down as well as traders will quickly want to take some profit in such scenario from bitcoin, and the same thing happens to in a huge bull rally.

Now, if I think like this as one trader, imagine how others are thinking as well. Same, right? Take it or leave it, bitcoin has a lot to do generally in the market movement.

there is actually no direct connection between the bitcoin price and the altcoin price, but it depends on the investors and when the bitcoin price decreases then panic happens also in altcoin. so that's what caused the price drop.

Is price of the altcoin is based on price of the bitcoin?I have noticed the price of bitcoin falling down for past few days on same the price of altcoins are also falling down

I do not know if bitcoin is directly related to altcoin, but bitcoin is always like a parent of altcoin, when bitcoin falls altcoin too always follow it.
Bitcoin has some influence over the market value of the altcoins and rest of the crypto coins which are there in this world. That is because of the reason that bitcoin is the backbone of the entire crypto industry and that things goes up and down with the increase or decrease in the market value of the bitcoin. That is why most of the investors keep a sound knowledge about the bitcoin even if they have invested in some other coin.

bitcoin is the first blockchain coin so altcoin price sometimes base on bitcoin price. But there are many coins which do not like that. Example: ICO coins. They base on the success of project more than bitcoin price

which you say is true, bitcoin prices are very influential with altcoin prices, when bitcoin prices go up then altcoin prices will also potentially rise, whereas when bitcoin prices collapse then altcoin prices will also collapse.

I agree that altcoin price are based on the price of bitcoin. It is certain that bitcoin control the market. It is the first cryptocurrency to be created on this plannet. Therefore, it has a certain reputation on the planet. That is why Most of coins follow bitcoin. IF bitcoin drop the price, so do other coins.

You've also noticed too. I thought I'm only one who noticed that if bitcoin drop down the altcoin follow too.
I think there is a connection between altcoin to bitcoin. However it's not impossible because bitcoin is the first crypto coin and lead all altcoin right now.

indeed in these last months bitcoin prices and all altcoin have a very sharp decline. but in my opinion bitcoin price down does not have the same effect altcoin price drop in bitcoin prices can be influenced as much or at least the investors. the price of bitcoin can be caused by less its investors and also because there are negative issues about bitcoin.

We know that the market has the support of a valuable coin that is called Bitcoin and this coin if fluctuates its affect is on other cryptocurrencies as well because this is a mind game as well, if the market is positive and encourages people to buy the coins then the demand will go on increasing. Conversely, if the market has negativities then demand will decrease and all the crypto currencies will affect a little. But we know that the market is positive and people will see the increase trend soon as the market demand rate in increasing.

Yes, this is still the situation, in most of the time. Probably will change in a couple of years, and there are always some of course, moving solely for a period of time, but generaly, they are moving to the same direction.

Altcoin prices dropping as bitcoin prices decrease is fundamental. This is the process of cutting the investor's double hole: D
It is not that bad but yes, altcoins are always depending on bitcoin for their increase and decrease. Who are investing into altcoins are still somehow depending on bitcoin for their good retunes. This is the reason people prefer keeping both the master and the slave. It is a great combination for long term investments and trading at the same time. I am in favor of investing equally in both coins.

Yes the price of altcoins is indirectly based on the price of bitcoin, what it happens is that even right now the market dominance of bitcoin is huge and many think the market dominance is keep artificially low which means the dominance should be a lot higher so when bitcoin moves it moves all the market along with it whether you like it or not.

we realize or not, but altcoin price still based on bitcoin price and until now, if bitcoin move to the higher price, the altcoin will follow increase and if bitcoin goes down, the altcoin following too. but this is not happening with all of the altcoins because there are some of the coins that are not depends on bitcoin price or bitcoin movements and they will move with their own especially the coins that have a cheap price.
Yes, this is a market that can be called interconnected, the other coin is based on the BTC or ETH platform, these are the two strongest coins on the market and once the BTC price increases, other coins also increased. I think that this is hardly going to change their prices. There are not any coin operated independently.

As far as i know, there no relation between bitcoin price and altcoin. But the bitcoin price may influence altcoin price. The tendency of altcoin price going down when the bitcoin price going up is 80%, because everybody sell their altcoin to have bitcoin, and the contrary also be like that, when the bitcoin price going down, the altcoin price will going up because the trader think that is good time to trade altcoin.

I think that it is based on general investments in the whole cryptocurrency market, i think that whenever bitcoin goes up it raises the attention of investors who will go and invest in this market which will make the prices of other cryotocrrencies rise as well, this was the case last year when bitcoin was the thing that everyone talked about for a while and when ICOs launched they were successful and people invested a lot of them, because they realize how much money they can make from investing in cryptocurrency.

It is not totally true that altcoins prices are depended on bitcoin, though bitcoin price movement can have effect on altcoins direction but altcoins derived it own price base on value of the coins.
In that case, all if have to say is just observe the market. Observe the fluctuations of bitcoin and look at its impact on the whole digital market. Let’s not get too far into the past and take the example of most recent bullish and bearish behaviour. In December 2017, when BTC touched 20k dollars, all altcoins were also on their highest values. Similarly, the whole digital market got red when BTC started declining.

I think this is true, altcoin prices always follow bitcoin prices but not vice versa, if altcoin down bitcoin does not come down. probably because bitcoin is the first crypto currency that many in use.
