That's right, BTC is a safe asset now because the crypto market conditions are fluctuating heavily. If you hold the current altcoin and bitcoin down then the altcoin will experience a bigger decline than bitcoin. So I now choose to hold bitcoin and wait for the price of bitcoin to stabilize and then buy an altcoin. Because it's useless to hold altcoins now, the price won't experience a big increase when bitcoin rises.
After a quick look at the markets we are seeing the opposite, altcoins are losing less ground than bitcoin, this makes prefect sense, bitcoin was the coin in which most of the money was invested so it makes sense that it is the one that is crashing the hardest, of all the coins in the top 20 only bitcoin SV is crashing harder while the rest of the altcoins are presenting a positive revaluation against bitcoin despite losing ground against tether which is showing the biggest gains, but what does this mean? That an altcoin season has started? A correction has started? Or that a crash has started? No one really knows and that is what makes the market so exciting.

I don’t even know if it makes sense to buy Bitcoins and ETH today, especially when the prices for these coins are already showing good results.  Two months ago, investing in Bitcoin ethereum looked much more profitable, and it would be necessary to show interest at that very moment.

for myself, I will definitely prepare this year for buying lots of high-potential coins such as bitcoin and ethereum because this year the two coins will definitely experience a large price increase and the value is definitely high

I've been accumulating btc ever since the huge dump in December, now I'm switching to alt-coins. I strongly believe that alt-coins will experience a mini bull run vs btc in the following months.

I believe this as well, however I don't think the time to switch to alts is just yet. BTC is still rising fast, and whilst some alts are also rising, they are not all rising as fast as BTC. So I would say BTC remains the safer bet for the short-term, and then once it starts to slow down it would be the time to move to alts... but that might just be me being a bit risk-averse Smiley

Upon my analysis, the investors and whales do not want to rush with the altcoins bull run , but rather want to study how stable will be for bitcoin.
Your analysis can be correct but seen from the trend it looks like the altcoin will not be bull run easily, surely the price of bitcoin will change again because the price of falling bitcoin prices is just like a reasonable correction done by traders who take profits.
Altcoin is heavily impacted by Bitcoin and it is difficult to raise prices during this period because people tend to invest more Bitcoin and dominate BTC now 63%. I think it will be difficult to survive for altcoin during this time because altcoin's value will continue to decline in the near future and if dominance still does not decrease then you cannot earn any profit. I believe that July and August will be a very bad time for this market so be careful with your investment

indeed it is necessary to analyze every current market condition to invest but if my advice is now altcoin is slow in price growth losing to bitcoin but this is the right time to invest, my advice is to choose coins that have active development such as bnb and ethereum

we have to wait again, try to see the price of bitcoin because now I think bitcoin is trying to stabilize prices after the correction has occurred. if the price can be stabilized soon I think it's an opportunity for the altcoin to try to rise again. this is an advantage for traders, because long-term investors will definitely not predict this correction.

I've got more than ten altcoins into my portfolio, those weren't the one with big trading volume. During the 2017 market it rose high, and with an expectation keeping hold of it. Even if it experience good growth it isn't possible to reach the price touched during 2017, because in comparison to the 2017 price what we have at this moment is at least a 150% low. Everyone were with expectations of the altcoin season. Probably it will gets kick started soon as the correction of market has begun.

I am currently speculating just like you and my portfolio is quite different from yours. I will make my portfolio and you can refer to it.
+ ETH ~ 61%
+ BTC ~ 12%
+ BQQQ ~ 20%
+ ADA ~ 17%
I only invest in some of the great altcoins. ADA is about to have great news and the community is expecting a lot from the pump price.
BQQQ is a new coin of CMC and it is being interested by many investors. But this is a coin exchange and we should hold it in the long term.
Its future will be similar to Binance and CEO is following every step very similar to CZ in the early days.

Altcoin season is coming. After bitcoin rise dramatically. I think it is time to altcoin rise too. Now the price still cheap and it is the best time to buy. Buy the potential coin like ETH, BNB, LTC,TRX, NEO, etc. And see the price will rising to the moon.

This is a good list you have here.  I will suggest you add altcoin like BNB, Enj, Cnd, xbx. I believe that after btc run altcoin season will definetly follow

I definitely agree with BND, CZ is the best CEO of any crypto exchange and even crypto projects. Binance will be here to stay and will just get bigger and bigger as they make most of the projects in crypto and dominates it

I agree with you on Zilliqa especially with their recenet partnership with Unstoppable domains which is a pretty cool. I would also look into NULS especially with their active development in the space

I would look at coins with less capitalization. I'm looking at quark for example, mft. But everybody new will look at old big coins like litecoin or eth.

I will better take time to learn more about the existing promising projects and invest money in them. I guess, BNB will be rising, Litecoin will go up again, Ethereum will continue the growth. Ontology looks good

Someone must have been doing the wrong thing here... Switching from Bitcoin to altcoins is a very bad idea considering the bullishness of Bitcoin as of today. How would you think your altcoin will be worth than Bitcoin if you switch now?

If you are already in this market before you should have known better than switching to those altcoins.

Not only new people, even the older investors will keep looking at eth as and some of these top ranked altcoins in the coinmarket, because I think they are the ones that will really have an outstanding performance during the alt season.

Looking at those altcoins now during this little bull run of BTC, we will see that they are really responding fast to BTC BULL, we can now see how perfect they will respond to their own season. One other coin that I am really hoping on is Docademic(MTC), the coin has really did so well after they were launched and I expect them to also move very high during the alt season because of the good product they have.

I've been accumulating btc ever since the huge dump in December, now I'm switching to alt-coins. I strongly believe that alt-coins will experience a mini bull run vs btc in the following months.
I'm thinking to split 20% btc 15% eth and 65% other alt-coins.
Up until now I've accumulated, in the latest 3 weeks, several strong alt-coins but I'm also willing to gamble a bit with lower market-cap projects with strong development and community. That being said, right now I've already bought or I'm looking into:

Kucoin shares
Zilliqa
ZCash
Elastos
Webdollar
Dent

What you guys think? What would you improve?
What projects do come to mind if low market-cap projects with active development and lots of potential is the goal Cheesy?

Any comments would be great! Thanks!

I agree with you that altcoins will experience a mini bull run vs btc in the following months or during the next two years, I think you need to re-split to 35% BTC 35% ETH and 30% other altcoins that have a market value of more than 2 billion dollars because that makes investments safer such as EOS, BNB, BCH, XLM ..ect, No one can clearly determine the price of any coin in the future, so If you feel confident in your choice of these altcoins with low market value, you can buy a small amount to start with and hold that amount in the long run, If you try to wait for the market timing you risk buying an altcoins at a higher price later.

Out of all this low cap gems I think Kucoin shares and ziliqqa are the only two solid project in here that can easily give you a decent return,  I'm expecting Kucoin shares to reach $5 / coin
