It's not just "under 1$" the factor you should consider, seeing that most cryptos have different circulating and total supply so, logically and matematically, the value of each coin is determined in primis by this simple fact. Apart from this you should start from surfing this forum and analyzing announcements, website, documentations, community support (and Telegram\Discord channels) and development of many coins. Then choose basing on your own researches which to follow or which to buy. I know they are too many but it's not so difficult to understand than most project doesn't have a long term view (with respect to adoption too). Starting from this and looking at their position on CoinMarketCap if you think some of the coins you found has a lot of potential that is not reflected in ranking maybe you should buy a stack of it. Wink

There are many options for you, you can choose altcoin in the top # 100 on coinmarketcap! I think if an altcoin is listed on coinmarketcap then the likelihood will be higher than the other altcoin!

You can buy xrp and wait 2-3 months for 4-5x again. But if you will wait 2-3 years you should buy Neo and waves. Both of them have big potential.

Coinmarketcap does not list new coins for a few month. They need 100k USD trading a day, which for my opinion is too much.

Watch coinlib.io there are huge more coins listed

At least perhaps buy some Emergencycoins (ENY). I am in dev team of course but we stand to our coin.

Last price was round about 80 sathoshis, to buy a few of them can not be a real mistake

If you are sure that you can hold for 2-3 years at least then I would suggest checking the top list among marketcap and purchasing some coins from the first 30. They will bring you the profit like double/triple of the amount that you spent.

One of the most easily found $ 1 altcoins is Ripple. Perhaps at this time many parties doubt the decentralization of ripple.
But if looking at how they developed and the purpose of this project, I think ripple is well worth it for long term investment.

Selection of a coin may vary from time to time, because the performance of each coin is also very dynamic. Coins like ADA are currently very cheap. Although the supply is huge, I think with a very serious developer team behind Cardano, it could be that ADA is a sleeping giant right now. So for altcoin below 1 $, my first choice now is Cardano.

Difficult, because you have to look at the marketcap, not only on the value of 1 coin.
But in my opinion good coins under 1USD are: Elixir, SophiaTX, Wabi and Peculium.
