For me, there is no difference in how much the coins are worth, because I understand the more the coin is worth or the token means the total number of coins is small, the smaller the coin or the token means, the total number of coins is huge.
Ambrosus (AMB) is probably one of the best investments right now. Around $0.40 per coin, and the team is not only incredibly talented but also very experienced in the field(Check it out and then check their LinkedIn profiles). The team has also been hitting every single milestone on time and they have huge partnerships under NDA that will certainly explode the price when properly announced. Really solid investment.
There are some good coins in market that looks promising if you invest in them. A good example of under $1 coin is Telcoin, verge, Dogecoin and Tronix.
Now there are many interesting coins that cost less than 1 dollar. For example, NEM. This is a very interesting and promising coin. I invested most of the money in this coin.
I am pretty sure that you can find a great coins under 1 dollae since there are so many of them in the market nowadays. Like there is Monero that had a low price in the begining but got to a very good position of 200 usd now.
CHSB is a good choice for investment and the price is still under $ 1, although now the price is very far from the price of ICO but I am sure if CHSB is very good to be a long-term investment.
There are a ton of Altcoins that are currently less than 1$ right now it seems that all of them has a ton of potential in growing in price within 2-3 years so i done some searches and myself would consider this are the best below 1$ currencies around in the market right now but this is only in my opinion and you could do your own research if you consider wanting to invest in them :

2. BitShares (BTS) - These is an open source and decentralized exchange with give us a ton of possibilities. it also has a ton unique features making the coin very decent to be one of the coins in your wallet, its current price in the market is $0.2552.
3. Tether (USDT) - These coins are based on a bitcoin blockchain and is treated as a stable alternative for bitcoin. Its current price in the market is $1.0005.

You can take a look at sibcoin. Its something close to dash but is quite cheap right now. Hey mate you should go and see around Matrix iA, Morpheus Network, Pareto, all of them is a worth it investment in my regards... Go and check !
I looked into Morpheus Network and I saw that it was not worth the investment since they collected a bunch of money through their crowdsale and they aren't putting the money back into the market. It's like they didn't build anything yet.

Do not you consider the fact of getting some more money and invest it in Ethereum or Bitcoin maybe? what do you want to do in future? Ignore the fud and look at XVG, DGB, maybe NCASH, maybe NEM.

Credits coin is just less 1$ price today and i think that it was a good investment because their coin today managed to double its price and because of that there is a huge chance for its value to increase even more when the market pumps the prices.

Ripple is the one that seem most appealing to me. Ripple has no shame in being outwardly business/finance focus.
