The best coin that i can think off at the time under 1$ is golem i think..it is only about 0.5 USD right and is a very good potential coins and can bring out multiple times profit in a long run..it can easily reach 1$ at any time so very good coin to invest under 1$.
Golem is a good coin, but the problem is that it is not showing much of a movement. One year ago, the exchange rate was around $0.60 per coin, and now it is around $0.48 per coin. At the same time, the other coins have given anywhere from 10x to 100x returns.

Some Top Altcoin have prices below $ 1 like Ripple or Cardano. Maybe right now almost all of the Top Altcoin are under pressure, but I'm sure in the future it's not difficult for a well-known coin to find support again.
