Atlcoins are still kicking real hard. Bitcoin will fall soon only to rise again and I don't think that means Altcoins are dead/will die. If bitcoin should fall permanently, pretty much a new golden coin will fill its place, might not be up to btc but good enough.

it is not true to say altcoins are dying, i can see a lot of altcoins are rising despite many others are being dominated by bitcoin rising but bitcoin wont rise for long, this is just a temporary time, they surely will be back in the future.
Altcoins are altcoins. They will have a value then once there is a newer coin to take its place the people in the previous coin will cash out then move to the other coin.

Hello,
I was in Malta this week for a Blockchain conference, 300+ people and there were lots of interest for altcoins. People are simply more selective, and this is quite reasonable.

Altcoins are not dead just because of the forks all the attention was on bTC but closer to spring I think the situation cardinally changed. BTC will sooner or later become very expensive for the majority of investors and all the new players will go out and buy immediately altcoins then there is the heat.

Altcoins will survive the bull run of Bitcoin. There are many good altcoins they not only survive but also perform.

Some altcoins are going to disappear at the end of this year or on next year i think. They are going to be worth less than 1 satochis or maybe 0.

I think lot of people here stating bitcoin is going to be the most important coin, always. King of our cryptoworld. Didn't you read them my friend? I am really sad about if you lose money on alts. Think it as lesson and keep going ahead. It is always better to hold some amount of bitcoin in your portfolio like %30-40..
Also ethereum will recover quickly in my opinion.

I am agree with you, however bitcoin could be a pioneer in cryptocurrency at this time. look at the price now, who knows ?

Altcoins have their time  to recover and not dying. Many of them are good for long term investment like ethereum, ripple, IOTA and litecoin. It is good to buy some of them now as they still cheap compared to bitcoin skyhigh price.

Bitcoin are still torturing majority of the altcoins and I think that it will continue by the end of the year or could still happen in the first months of 2018 so I converted everything of my altcoins to btc.

I agree it seems some altcoins are gaining in USD but totally losing vs btc. I would rather have a huge crash and lose vs the $ but gain more satoshi.

Altcoins do not die, but come alive Smiley If you look at the price of Altcoins in dollar terms according to last month, you will see that they are all rising.

Altcoins are not dying for sure nor it's dead. Bitcoin has reached new high at $18,000+ before it slowly falls down to $15,000 and yes, it's affecting the altcoins since it's an indication that they're dumping their altcoins for bitcoins. But despite all that, Litecoin and Dogecoin continues to rise.

Yes altcoins are not dying though bitcoin continues to explode. For sure there will be a momentum for altcoins once bitcoin stabilize its value. The price of bitcoin is very high so I think there will be a correction always happen but lets see.

They will bounce, every time it bounce and there are a new fomo after such pumps;)

Or new doom and alts will update their 2-year bottoms, so my alt portfolio will lose more than 90% value, i am fine with that.
The only thing that now plays a role - BTC fomo. So i will recommend to buy BTC Right Now!.

Altcoins that dont have any serious team behind them or those that are not based in a serious project will die. But there are also altcoins that will last and will have a bright future. Take a look at IOTA  Wink
It's prob the worst time to buy iota. It's seriously over hyped!

IOTA is a coin with serious team and project behind. The last deals with Microsoft, Cisco, Samsung, Volkswagen etc. prove that.
If you are talking for short term trading i would prefer forex and not coins. Some altcoins are very good investments for future.
Im into investments and not "short-term" games buying and selling after a couple of cents.

Do not get so upset, I think no one will die, although they are bleeding now .. Very soon everything will be better, look, the BTC rate is already correcting right now
