btc, eth, waves, ripple. Bitcoin is going to continue to rise indefinitely, Ethereum seems to be a safe store of value right now and could see $1000 in the future, and Waves is progressing rapidly and may become the greatest, Ripple with it's value increasing significantly.
I plan to keep for several years, Strat, eth, SNT, dash. I always feel sorry for them to fix, and I have them rarely sell. And in a falling market always buy more.
Any suggestion about FUN and POE? Sell or HOLD? 
now the price of the coin is falling, if you plan on holding a coin for a long time I think a lot of good eth tokens for you to hold

Their are solid and reliable coin, I think still have a room to increase in next couple years

Waves and etherium are good choices. Lets invest in those altcoin and you will get the profit in future.
I probably choice Bitcoin,Ethereum,Cardano those coin will bring you to rich even you hodl it a couple of months you can have profit instanly.

the best period for holding is once every 1 year,
after it is known that every January there will be a bloody storm for all digital currencies, then will go to the moon every December
2-3 years holding or a long time investment, it is the right time to invest etheruem, price will be go to the moon. now the price increase almost x2 of the last time of price.
I would advise you to invest in ethereum, because ethereum will be the most promising and safest investment. By holding ETH for the next 2 years of course this will have a chance to profit from the that investment, and I believe even though the current price of ETH is decreasing but in the next few years it will experienced a significant increase. You can expect itss price to double itself in coming years.
I don't have experience yet in altcoins trading. But in stock market holding 2-3 years works and often times increase the value from year 1. I think is good experiment to do since almost of altcoins is going upward even it is subject of volatility.
It's better to check all the available information about the coins thoroughly if choose to hold them for long. Coins alike ETH, LTC which has been proven on the market as a reliable cryptocurrencies backed up by the nice dev teams would be among the preferable ones. Also it will be wise to diversificate a portfolio with some of the new and more cheap coins or tokens which could give a significant profit in case of a long-term investing. When choosing among such coins or tokens, working related product will be an important sign for making a right choice and minimizing risks of being scammed.

For the next 3 years I recommend OMG and DeepOnion.
It is now very cheap and underestimated. Use kink instead of blockchain. Players all over the world jump on it.

for 2-3 years I would choose coins - etherium, ripple, neo and bitcoin
xem, litecoin
ethereum is a good choice for long-term investments such as 2-3 years ahead
ETH,LTC,XRP, WAVES
If you want to hold some altcoins for a longterm I recommend Waves, Ethereum, and Monero.
