Some altcoin are shit coins, some really dont have no value since their creation. Having new ones will help to fascinate the existence of many to be competitive
When thinking about all of the altcoins in the current market, Altcoin Giants hold the biggest area than the new altcoins. many people choose those giants in the first place than the new altcoins. So they keep holding their places at the top. the effect of new tokens is very less to those giants.
From the time of the ICO/IEO and until the full implementation of the roadmap, there is (usually) 2 years. So, many projects, the boom for which was in 2017 is now coming to the end of its roadmap, you can see and select from among those that follow exactly all the points.
The fact is that if it's not for IEOs that gives most of the new projects the needed momentum they need, many of them would not even smell the top 100 spot on the CoinMarketCap, so I think they are no threats to the existing Altcoins like Ethereum and other top projects.
For some old coins, of course you will not be affected by the emergence of many new coins, even because Ethereum will greatly benefit from the number of altcoins made from their platforms so that increasing trading volume on the market, we can see that even old coins are always ranked highest in CMC .
I think that with the help of new altcoins you can earn but then they need to sell..especially little known. The risk of falling is very high.
Instead of investing our money in little or New coins much better to invest your money in well known coins. According to my research altcoins are going to have bright future and all of them will be as famous as we want them unlike recent price after few years price will pump up and falling price is also a chance to buy at low price. 
The more new coins that are present in the crypto market, will certainly enliven the crypto world. My question is how do you look at the future of the altcoin, with fairly tight competition. Will it affect the price of old altcoins, such as Ethereum, XRP and others.
I don't think so, because the old coins will stay hold at the old price even though the more new coins appear on the crypto market. this It is very interesting to see competition between new coins and old coins, but so far I have seen Ethereum still be a good Altcoin from other coins.The old coins will survive, and they still stay at their position if they are strong enough to defend their position. But if the altcoin cannot secure, they will beat by the new coins, and their place will be out from the better position. But the altcoin future will be like that as in every day we will see the position of the altcoin will change because every altcoin still competes with each other to get a better place.
We always need to buy a lower price to sell at a higher price so always we try to profit. Again, in order to stay in crypto, we will always need the sense and it is a fundamental effort for the investors. The new coins which helps us, and helps to increase the volume of old coins, so it is always the result of efforts.
The problem is most of the new coins in the market are not successful, so it would also affect the old coins based on how they perform in the sale.
We can tell that crowdsale success has significantly, decrease due to lots of scams and changes of market from bullish to bearish, but this is just the start of another bullish journey, we've seen some successful IEO already, so let's hope more success to come in the future.

but for beginners it is quite difficult to know a coin has a good price the next day, sometimes what is done is actually buying when it is expensive and selling when it is cheap. sometimes I feel this. It is really tough competition and only the best altcoins with the best platform survive, coins come and go and new coins coming up doing an ICO is just a copy of the old ones, investors should be quick to discover if the coin is just a copy of old coins or not.

More and more new coins will definitely impact the old coin. But with more and more new coins, of course, give a different color. So the competition will be tighter and the old project certainly does not want to lose. The old project will further enhance the development to be able to compete with new coins.

Well I think that although many projects come up every day, I think the future for ALTs is not scary it's possible to expect good things.

ETH and XRP are the best altcoins at the moment, their quality as the best altcoin is undoubted. in my opinion though many new altcoins that appear will not affect their popularity.
There are already altcoins that are competing with themselves, nonetheless the best will be more chosen and invested in. So the shit coins among them will die off with time.

In the future, only the strongest altcoins will survive - the weak will disappear. Most Altcoins are useless, as they were created to attract money.

It seems to me that the older coins go back , and do not develop much as in 2017 , now the market is ruled by bb bt tron , I think these coins are very well suited for investment in altcoins! 
The Proliferation of altcoins in the cryptocurrency market is actually a problem but if we are looking at the long term, I belive the low quality projects will die and fizzle off. They will only create instability for top altcoins on short run
