You cannot complain about the top altcoins in the market as they have a clear path, i am not expecting much development in ETH and other similar coins but the rest i am expecting some movement once the bitcoin market rallies but do not think that is the same with the token market, i will be surprised if any of the tokens will increase even during a rally.

One answer i do know regarding to this which people who sell out their coins are staying up on stable coins or on cash.Where they didnt tend to switch to alts after they do make some profits on trading btc and since its on sideways they are just waiting for bottom and tries to re-enter again.Its doesnt always happen when you do see bitcoins price is stagnant and price of alts do rise and sometimes they do move on the same time or just opposing to each other.Disappointed? That has been the case for more than a year now, people are not buying alts even if they are good with good projects . My opinion on this matter is that there is not enough money in these markets now , this is wy alts are going only down, people are not taking risks - not buying alts.
They are buying it but some people are seeing the volatility as the main aspect to determine whether such altcoin is worth to buy or not. There was a lot of money even BAKKT has brought million dollars in a day. People are still buying altcoin and what you are saying is not the same as the fact that already happened with CMC site a few days ago.
You must do an observation.
I think only altcoin that has no potential will make you disappointed while altcoin which can potentially be expensive will never make you disappointed because altcoin like that will make you get a lot of profit, you should be able to find altcoin that really has the potential to be expensive.

We all know that about your question on why some altcoins are very disappointing income of prices. Actually altcoins it can become a shitcoins if the developer of the altcoins are not interested more and down the volume. Sometime they listed in the unknown ecxchange that have small amout of price so we can tell that this altcoins are not have any future, I'm disappoint also because they are to many in my folio standby maybe i will remove if they become zero value.

Bitcoin has never been stable and the alt-coin price isn't really disappointing at all,We just need to find the right alt-coin to buy and don't fall for those new project that have a huge potential to be a scam.
