That has been the case for more than a year now, people are not buying alts even if they are good with good projects . My opinion on this matter is that there is not enough money in these markets now , this is wy alts are going only down, people are not taking risks - not buying alts.

This is because most altcoins are no longer having their most volume paired with Bitcoin. They have huge number of volume paired with stable coins which do not really have any significant impact on the altcoin's market value. Ethereum, for instance, has about 70% of its volume paired with USDT. With this, a change in Bitcoin will not have any significant impact on the Ethereum market value.

Because they are two different market. Aside from that, there are lots of altcoin that have no real life usage. They are just good in paper and yet to develop their goal. Not saying lots of altcoin had been labeled scam so many people are having a second thought entering the altcoin market.

I also think like that that altcoin and bitcoin when the pump trends are not always the same because the function and the popularity level is better, as well as other things, there are many differences and the volume is different. plus there are some altcoin developers who commit fraud, as said by you and the fraud makes altcoin not much seen by people

To me, price gains is literally the only thing that's disappointing in most of them. I've been investing before the $1000 -> $300 BTC dump and altcoin price dumps are even more disappointing now. But the difference is that this time i know that the older projects are not going anywhere and i could make some actual money with them.

Altcoins price is actually very good for investments but not in all of them and only in few of them who actually know what they're doing and they have an active dev team and a proper marketing to promote the project. I'm no longer waiting for the altcoin season and I simply let it happen whenever it will happen. If we simply complain daily about this at some point we will get impatient and we will sell at this low prices.

Its true that most of us expected a better year for altcoins but Bitcoin's dominance is not letting any open air for altcoins in order to rise again to at least summer prices. Personally I have small investments anytime I have money to spend in order to increase my portofolio.

It happens the same from the beginning. Now it is the time for bitcoin to increase in value and it will continue to increase and when the traders get enough profit from the trade of bitcoin they will turn to altcoins and will start trade altcoins then all of the altcoins will start to increase.

Beside this there are a number of high potential altcoins which run along the price of bitcoin and when the market is better the price of it also increases. You have to focus on those coins till the alt season.

A lot of altcoins have a much lower overall trading volume than Bitcoin, which means a lot of these lower marketcap coins can be moved in terms of price with much less money than with something like Bitcoin. Bitcoin's also the most well-known crypto at the moment, which contributes to it being (somewhat) more stable than most alts, and most alts also have at least a weak correlation in price to Bitcoin's price, though events specific to an altcoin's development or other important details can also affect the pricing of an alt significantly.

No it's not, some of the altcoins are actually rising up like ONT, QTUM etc. You probably didn't explore enough to check them

When Bitcoin is going up, it doesn't mean Altcoin will doing the same too. It could be the opposite or even altcoin would just dump to the ground.

and also , altcoins have low reputation , even ETH also.

Altcoin prices have been disappointing since 2018, why do you still hold them for a long time? do you expect there will be an altseason for the next period? lol that's ridiculous, because waiting for something uncertain and unpredictable. Are you expecting an altcoin that just recently emerging to a bitcoin which crowned as the first crypto ever to be created that's just ridiculous. even bitcoin has a really huge community base and altcoins rarely have such a thing. altcoin only known as a tool for making profit while bitcoin has an actual means of being used as payment method unlike most of the altcoins. even hoping altcoin could have bitcoin's price or atleast stable is just a wishful thinking except those stablecoin. However there are plenty of altcoins that is trying to reach bitcoin price by shrinking its total supply to just few thousand and still failed miserably anyway.

Altcoin have not really been disappointing based on its current price reactions to the btc spikes, most crypto trading are tagged against USD, EUR or some other fiats, when you check the usd value of altcoin you will know they have not disappointed us but gained USD value regardless of the satoshi they are currently been traded unless those altcoins that actually crash down.

On the other hand, altcoin price will decline when btc price slides because it is quoted and traded against btc.

They can not have a stable price because they must react to the market movement either up or down.

Altcoin is still very bad for now. When BTC prices get worse Altcoin gets worse. Altcoin and even BTC will not be stable, Crypto has a very high fluctuating value and is risky if you make an investment without calculation or analysis in advance. When Bitcoin is going up as it is today Altcoin's increase is only a few percent, not comparable to a decline of up to 90%. Bitcoin increase is needed even higher to make altcoin prices improve again and then there was Altcoin Session

The altcoin price should follow bitcoin price, that is the reason. No matter if bitcoin price rise so high, the altcoin will behind bitcoin and adjust the price to the new high price too. Some altcoins can increase so high and for example, ethereum, which is in number 2 at the CMC.
The ethereum itself can increase high in the future, but still, ethereum will be a secondary altcoin, and that will be the same as the other coin.
I think the presence of altcoin is to help bitcoin to grow as the bitcoin is the leading coin at the cryptocurrency.

not all the prices of altcoin are disappointing or maybe it's your own fault, I mean you are investing with junk tokens or altcoin that is difficult to develop. maybe you need to renew the altcoin investment or replace it with a better altcoin than before.
