In my own opinion, CryptFcoin. will survive in the future, it tends to proffer solution to the inherent characteristic of cryptocurrency "volatility". risk management by tying the value of their coin to the real commodity of a well-established financial institution, with a good record of financial history

I suggest Dash, ZEC, ETH. I think those altcoins  have strong community and they are taking part in many platform projects.
I still wait for new altcoin which it has full of bitcoin and altcoins power but I do not know when it happens.

Maybe Coindash Litecoin dugecoin monero, or the other may have a chance in the future and can survive. but all the new altcoints coming and going are never in the know. if the altcoin that will survive may be ethereum in my mind. because ethereum is a smartcontract for a new token or coin.

Syscoin, Dash, ethereum, waves, stratis are gonna stay here for ever and right now stratus and Waves and Poll are quiet undervalued and everyone should consider investing in these coins.

Bitcoin and ethereum is the coins that I can say that will stay and can survive in the future, even there are many people are doubting in these coins because of the dump in the price, people are still continuing to invest into it, and by this sure it will survive.

I think Ethereum has the largest chance of surviving in the future (smart contracts)
Zcash for privacy
Decred for governance
BTC for store of value.
It'll be interesting to see further categories beyond the above emerge.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin

I dont think Dogecoin will stay forever. I like the ones that have real applications.
Dogecoin or Croc coin are two examples of zero-value coins that i dont think will last long.

Liberated Forever. Domesticated Never.
Any coins and tokens can survive. The main thing that they would carry a certain decision. Or payment or smart contracts or something else. And of course the goal was not to raise money but to really solve some problems.

That's true. Any coin can survive nowadays, given the huge interest there is from people in the real world into acquiring them for short-term profits. But, for a coin to survive, it would need to have a solid foundation to deliver real uses in our world. Development, features, and long-term vision for any specific cryptocurrency, will help the project survive for quite a long time. When a coin stops delivering real uses to the people, then it would be doomed for sure.

I've seen many developers raise money for a new cryptocurrency project, just to abandon it in a couple of days, months, or sometimes even years. Since most coins on the market are simply copies of other coins with no real innovation, they're highly likely to fail in the future. Therefore, I think that usually the coins in the top 20 marketcap rankings will survive in the future no matter what, because they have a lot of money invested into them. Smiley

Every day a new ico and coin emerges. Of course it isn't possible for all of them to survive. I think there will be those which can survive, but the older ones are always more trustworthy. My most trusted is Ethereum. I think it's a coin that will raise value and stay up.

That's a good question. I firmly believe that Ethereum has a stronghold after the bitcoin, and Ether may soon lead the cryptos. Other alt coins such as elixir, steem and minereum seem to have a long term I feel. Lets hope they last long and provide benefits to everyone on board

I think Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, Dogecoin, we can observe that all that I mentioned, has market time, has solid structures, are well known and required in the market, suffer all kinds of bad criticism and even constructive, may even undergo some sort of alteration and updating, but you can be sure that they are in the future.

In the future, only those projects that will develop their product will survive, if people have already invested in this project, then people have believed in it, and accordingly the project was recognized, according to the project it is necessary to work on their product, which it represents!

I think that is worth staying for the long term is Ethereum and NEO. both coins are suitable if to be a long-term investment because it has a great team in it. plus both coins have large volumes and a clear concept must have a good future.
