Everyone is expecting the price of Bitcoin will be crazy in the year 2020, these predictions will be crazy once the price of Bitcoin is pumping. We don't know whether altcoin will increase or not we don't know because previously once the price of Bitcoin crosses more than 13000$, altcoins will bleed again in the market.

No wonder why many people expect that 2020 would be crypto year. bcz in that year, halving bitcoin would happen
In the last halving, Bitcoin price is always pump. it like a catalys for Bitcoin pump

But, that's just a history, there is possibility to not happen again in the future
so, just be rational by placing money management to avoid lose

sometimes it cannot be ascertained for altcoin to experience a significant increase. because right now I think altcoin isn't 100% affected by bitcoin. so maybe altcoin can increase after bitcoin has increased, but it will not be significant. we can only see that for some time to come.

We still have to see if those predictions become true, I do not want to sound negative but whenever I see that the majority of the people in the market want something to happen most likely the market will react in the opposite way, many may think that this is because the whales are manipulating the market but that is because they do not really understand the markets and how they work, we need people to lose their money in order to have winners and if everyone is right in their prediction then no money can be made.

There is no doubt that this halving is going to be different but I'm not so sure that is a good thing, the previous two halvings brought incredible profits to the market but now we are approaching the halving during a negative trend so I do not really expect for the market to react immediately to the halving as there is no buying pressure since there are no new investors in this market, and most likely what I'm going to do is to wait for the perfect opportunity to appear itself before I begin to invest money in bitcoin again.

$ 9,000 is not good amount to attract some people into cryptocurrency, it cant get new people here
that's why altcoins didnt give a f with that.

IMO, bitcoin pumping would attract new people into cryptocurrency, and it gives new hope to crypto future
so, that would be affect on optimism with altcoin too. and altseason would happen

The price went higher than that but there was no hype yet, maybe we need more like having a new ATH.
I know its gonna happen but it might take time, therefore if we are not patient, we might not be able to sell our coins at the good price.
I am so patient not because I hold BTC but because I hold a lot of altcoins and I know its only BTC that will dictate the future of my altcoins.

That's right, it won't happen anytime soon and I agree with what you say. that we must know that altcoin is still always affected by the movements of bitcoin. altcoin is rarely able to develop properly independently and can always be ascertained to be influenced by bitcoin.
It seems that only Ethereum can move without the influence of bitcoin, but hopefully there will be good developments for other altcoins. we hope and wait for that certainty.

yes in 2017 but not now. because at that time the whole market was not taking too much of bitcoin, but now they have realized the importance of bitcoin and you can see how much capitalization is focusing on bitcoin. The alts now seem to be shit when there are too few people interested in it.
This suggests that the majority of speculators are more interested in trading profits than the technology of the alts. This is ingrained in their minds and it is quite difficult for alts to grow back like 2017.

i think that if BTC goes to a new bubble higher than 20k to even 50k and shocks the world again
it will case a new parabolic move in alt coins too
but if it goes in a healthy manner to 20k , alts can go up with it because of USD price correlation but not go like in 2017

ETH wen't as high as $300 this year, but its only valued half of that amount now.

Just relax and wait for the right timing, ETH won't die as it has a big community support, you see despite of the drop, it still stays at the number 2 spot now. BTC will soon rise, that's for sure, but we need to be patient so we can enjoy that right timing.
It could rise next year or the next next year but it doesn't matter if it takes long as long as the adoption continues because we really can't tell when if the whales does not allow the price to go up, you know manipulation is the big hindrance for its rise as quick pump and dump benefits them more.

It's not really the price performance of BTC. It's more the money coming into the market and increasing the market cap as a whole. Think about it, if 1,000,000 new people just decided they wanted to invest in crypto tomorrow, there would be a huge increase in the price of BTC and the marketcap. Now, a lot of these people will decide that they also want to invest into ETH. So, they trade their BTC for ETH. It's just the amount of money in the market that makes the price of alts go up.
