I agree with marketcap, amount of coins and an active dev team. On coinmarketcap I always click the "social" tab. It's amazing how many abandoned coins there are.

You're right, the X potential of coins that are < $1 is very high, but you need to analyze first on which coins does actually have a possibility of going to $1 one day, the total supply does give a hint. Also the development of the coin, projects in the pipeline for it that can actually pump it.
I feel DGB is one of those coins at the moment, its a solid long term investment.

A good coin that fits the description of the op is Renos (RNS), which is traded on cryptopia. It is currently 4 cents per coin. The market capitalization averages to just under 1 million USD and has a circulating supply of 33 million. There are many reasons why the price of Renos could go up to $1. First, Renos has a good community, and therefore is a community coin (everything is done by voting). Second, The slack group is always active with new people and the developers are there to answer questions all the time. Third, the coin offers masternodes. This means that the community will become invested in the coin for the long term and it also means that the coin developers are actively keeping up with the latest trends in crypto. Fourth, they are actively developing the code and wallet, as can be seen with new releases on Github. Renos is on track for slow and steady growth. It is not a get rich quick type of thing, rather more like a buy low and hold for a long while.

The points about Renos above are things that you should take into consideration with any other coins that you find as well. Cryptopia has lots of low priced coins, but not all of 'em are great.

you can go for dent, it's a very promising one since it's focus is to disrupt the telecommunications provider businesses. you know people are so tired and sick of this sectors taking advantage of the people's money via rendering unfair services. I believe dent's fundamentals will be enough to rise and hit the exchanges on a certain time.

If you want to buy coin under $ 1 try it you see monetha, propy and cindicator. Look, read and do the analysis, if you are interested you can buy it in the exchanger, because I believe the three coins will be good in the future.

Alt coin under 1$ which has a good potential growth in marketcap is cindicator. But it doesnot matter how much the price is. The important thing is marketcap. Because each coin has its own ammount in circullation. Example. Waves with its $4 but coin in curcullation is only 100 mill. I think it is under valued as long as bitcoin above $4000

Is there more potential profit in buying coins <1? yes.
Can every coin go to 1 usd? no

Take the coin supply and marketcap into account, I still see people around here who think doge could get to 1 usd.

Perhaps PosW or Verge
Although usually they're under 1$ for a reason.

The op thought is not out of logic. Of course you have to look at many factors before you dive in. But cheaper coins that one day will be big ones of course would be great bet.

The problem is...are you really holding a coin from 10c to 5k? how many "original" BTC, bought ate very very low prices are in the same hands.

What i mean is holding for 100x or 1000X is very difficult. You will have an urge to sell before that. It´s only normal..

For a direct answer: DGB, XBY, STR (Stellar). KMD at 2,2 $ still feels very cheap.

But thoughts on what coins under 1 dollar is good?  The thing is if a coin is less than 10 cents, that could mean a potential for a lot of money.  Like a coin being 10 cents and it going up to 25 cents would be pretty huge if you bought like 100000 of it etc.

I wanted to highlight this aspect of your post. To me this is beginner mentalitiy when it comes to trading. I say so because I literally possessed the same mentality when starting out in this space. The reason I say it is such

a mindset is because yes you can have great gains but why are you looking at a cheap price point as reason for entry? What you should be asking instead is what kind of ROI can I attain by entering in this coin? At the

end of the day that is what matters not price entry. For example you could have a coin that is worth 2 cents but because dev is gone or product has no use case you can bet that it would keep going down. Is it a cheap price?

Yes. Will it make you lose a lot of money? Also yes. Therefore do not use cheap price point as reason for entry. Instead look at the development, team, product, and the community. These four factors will give you an indication

as to whether the coin will be alive and survive any nasty crypto swings.

Have closer looks firstly on the market cap of each coin together with the supply not the price itself. That's not decisive to predict 10x or more.  Smiley

Don't expect that a coin will ever reach 10x, because it can be that there is a reason that it is still valued under $1. One is huge supply of coins, or lack of development

Does anyone here have an opinion of altoins that are under $1 that are worth investing?  Because the lower it is, the more X amount you can.

For example if a coin is 10 cents and say you buy 10000 of them, thats 1000 USD.  If this coin goes up to 1 dollar, that is 10x your money or 10000.  Now if it goes up to 10 dollars, that would be 100x.

The thing is if you get a coin for 10 cents, how much can you really lose?  Because no coin goes to 0 right?  I mean it might go down to 0.002 etc if it does?  But if it goes from 10 cents to 15 cents, thats 50 percent your investment which is huge.  The thing is people say invest in bitcoin.  But the issue is look at the price.  Its around 4000 usd for a btc.  Let say you buy 1 btc.  If it goes up to 5000 usd, yes you make 1000 usd.  But if a coin is 10 cents and you buy say 50000 of them for 5000, well it going up to 12 cents would make you the same money as compared with btc.

How many coins has went all the way down to say 0.01 or less that was at 1 dollar at one point?

How many coins has went from less than say 25 cents or less and at least doubled VS dropped more than 1/2 the price?  That is what im very curious at.  Now if a coin is at 0.002 etc and stays around there thats not much about it.  But it seems like coins under 1 dollar that shows potential if you look at the chart seems like a good idea?  Since there is so much you could make?  For example if there is a coin that is 10 cents and people talk good about it... that seems like a better idea than buying btc right for say 5k?  Like i think it would be better to buy 50000 of a coin at 10 cent than 5000 usd worth of btc.  Because that coin only has to increase 2 cents compared to btc increasing 1000 usd though someone here says thats not how you should look at it etc.

But thoughts on what coins under 1 dollar is good?  The thing is if a coin is less than 10 cents, that could mean a potential for a lot of money.  Like a coin being 10 cents and it going up to 25 cents would be pretty huge if you bought like 100000 of it etc.
