I'm investing in BGB too, because I think BGB has a good potential for the future and it's possible that the project of Bitget (exchange) can get into the top 5 in the future, that's why I continue to do DCA BGB and hold for the long term investment, because I'm sure BGB will give me a lot of profit in the future.
BGB is able to show a very strong demand, even reaching new ATH in 2023 is extraordinary!
Even though many altcoins are showing bearish, BGB is able to answer that BGB deserves to be the top investment this year.

There has been so many YouTube influencers and other folks predicting to buy certain altcoins for huge profit and once the Bitcoin dropped down thus send a shockwave across altcoins we don't see people or influencer coming up with their favorite list of altcoins with the kind of confidence which they showed when market was green.
Absolutely right, personally I do too much loses by following the Footsteps of this YouTube influencer and bought Thier favorite profitable altcoins, but later I regret my mistakes because my money belongs to me and any kind of lose will directly affect me rather than him.So rather than following influencer it's good for myself to go out and search, get knowledge and bought any altcoins with my own risk, because everytime these lose will teach me a new lesson and will help me to get experience to survive in market

When it comes to investing in altcoins during a bearish market , your best bet is to go for coins that are established and have a huge following (community) as this can easily translate potential customers into demand during recovery and price gets pushed up...
Going for the newest coins isn't a bad idea, but with these its a gamble & you could fall in the pump in dump trap and you don't want losing hard earned money this easily.

Yes altcoins can give you huge profit if they are hold for lengthy time. As you mentioned XRP and ADA, Both of these are beneficial coins and if you hold it for some years then undoubtedly it will enhance in price to give you greater revenue.
One more important thing is that you should not believe on other's thoughts because everyone has own opinion and experience.

You just need to work with your own research and allow yourself to pick the best alt that you think that will still pump up after the market start to bounce back, I see your point with top 50 the support are good and the chance is still high for those coins to improve the price, as long as you are doing your best in doing your research the chance still open.

Now the times flipped from bearish sentiment to bulltrend when btc was quite stable morethan 2weeks, and 1 February might be the day trader waiting for rate hiks interest, expecting same as december market will react dull moment so expecting some slow pullback and times for alt dipping to enter your basket

My portfolio is currently (numbers are somewhat accurate) 20% ETH, 10% Matic, 42% Dusk, 10% Unu Sed Leo, 11% Shiba Inu (yes i know), 5%, 2% in stable coins for just in case and some of the eth and matic i am using for flipping nfts. Their percentage of my porfolio will be way higher if i get current nfts i hodl flipped. And it will go down again when i do more flipping.

You can take your chance but be ready with the risk that you'll going to take. There are many investors / traders who are playing with such kind of investment and most of them are losing money. It's the timing and luck that will allow you to earn from shit/meme project, same deal with gambling you will wait if you will win or lose at the end.
