I have heard of oneCoin who has a private blockchain I feel sorry for people when I hear that they ha invested in oneCoin. The point is always ensuring safety in all transactions. There are alternative block chains really are coming out and many altcoins are also out in ICOs and Airdrops, but this things are always at our own risk
My opinion the Block Chains is very safe because it is hold of ICO and the value is very estimate the others create a block chain and the result is shit coin because it is not proven and limited ex changer i hope the Block Chain is good in the future.

Using an alternate cryptocurrency client would be a great way to get many people to install a hidden virus that targets Bitcoin users.
If you have a significant amount of Bitcoins, I wouldn't run other clients on the same computer until the alternates have developed trust over a longer period of time... I'm probably on the paranoid side of things though.
These new cryptocurrencies are interesting, and it will be fascinating to see how it will all play out.

After years later, this advice still more important than before! So many blockchains and smart contract being developed as we are now in ICO era, some ICOs dont have that much technical knowledge (basically which based on smart contract) to protect their investors assets. Beware is a message that we must stick with, the more we ahead forward to this technology the more phishing scam will happen and we must be that knowledgeable to protect ourselves.

Generally, if you have a large amount of bitcoins on a given PC, being extra-cautious about third party software (be it an Alt-coin client or a particularly fancy casual game) is advisable.

I agree with you. I am very careful with these kind of things. It is difficult to save your data properly. The antivirus systems aren't things you should economize for! alternative is blockchain. what is the alternative to the normal blockchain? Firstly, I place my normal life in a good way and the alternative is the next plan.
BlockChain has always entered my life as a beautiful technology. and this technology is going to do a pretty good job in our lives. maybe we do not realize now but it will be.
Can we assume that Ripple is an alternative to blockchain, or is it not a blockchain at all??
There are many alternatives to the blockchain and there are many variants of the blockchain concept, some better than others. The prime example of a technology other than the blockchain which aspires to be decentralized is Ripple’s consensus system, which can’t be said to have proven itself.
