in my opinion it's not a curse but just our fault for being impatient to hold coin / token, I myself experienced it often in 2017 and my biggest regret was because of that, if only I kept all assets from bounty and sold them in November 2017 I would get $ 100 K instantly, make it a lesson
Every coin you holds has its own potential to grow its price in the market as long as the projects owners continuing to develop their platform though some coins will turn into shitcoin so I suggest that you must be attentive and keep lurking on their community for every coin you and see it for yourself if the project is worth to hold.
Just keep you coins or tokens that you have earned till the better times. It does not make any sense to sell you coins right now, because they are worth absolutely nothing. Be patient and hold your coins till the better market conditions.
