Technological progress will certainly be coupled with what is needed, what Amazon does to accept transactions as one of the means of payment, is clearly very helpful and an advance but the constraints that we know with each transaction using bitcoin, also become a problem in itself because the transaction time required quite a lot of time. this is an obstacle.

If Amazon accepts bitcoin then the world has to use Bitcoin and the Paypal goes into mud.
IT would be easier to pay or accept money in Bitcoin than on Amazon without any restrictions.

If Amazon start accepting bitcoins, it will encourage many sellers to start accepting bitcoins as a payment method. Paypal will eventually be finished once bitcoin is implemented and accepted everywhere.

It'd be awesome if it happens, but yeah! it is also going to be a great embarrassment if people are gonna wait 12hrs for the transaction to be Validated!

yes you are correct about this if the transaction takes long it wouldn't be any good. It would only demote bitcoin.

I see a lot of people pushing for companies like Amazon to accept Bitcoin as a payment option. Have we considered the

implications of these decisions? Let's say we cannot scale to "service" the need for millions of new people who would use

this technology for the first time. What a big embarrassment would it be, if people waited 13 hours for their transactions to

be confirmed. Doing this now will hurt Bitcoin more than any other "bad" thing that has happened to it before.

We need to wait for the perfect scaling solution to address this problem, before Amazon or any other big retailer starts to

accept Bitcoin as a payment option. The Lightning Network might get us close, but it is not a proven technology yet.

Let's hear your thoughts on this?  Huh Huh
Bitcoin won’t be fit for Amazon. You say this, yes cause you’re good with it, but do you ever put yourself in their shoes and wonder what may happen to the world e-commerce giant if they choose to follow the crypto route? That’s never a good idea, so it is best for them to continue the way are doing. There are already sites like purse.io for those that choose to buy with BTC. And there is even overstock.com.

The #1 reason Amazon is doing this is to tie addresses to names and faces.

things like this are not a problem because payment transactions using bitcoin are better than using complicated traditional transactions, bitcoin provides a lot of convenience. I believe that in the next few years there will be more people who will accept bitcoin as payment.

why not move to the smart-contract based platforms offering just the same then?

too early to accept this payment method.  the governments have just started incorporating crypto into daily lives and accept it on the highest levels.

Amazon must have considered this decision. We'll see how it works, whether Bitcoin payments will encounter obstacles and harm bitcoin or vice versa, making the market increasingly Bitcoin rise.

obstacles? oh... sure thing mate, the majority isn't aware of the possibilities Blockchain can give them. So we need to first educate the audience to show Blockchain is is the technology of the future.

Yes, but still, we didn't get any exact clarification whether they are accepting the Bitcoin or not. I think if they start accepting the Bitcoin definitely it will influence great impact on product purchases through Amazon which could be very easier for Bitcoin holders.

There's an opinion Amazon is working on something huge involving the BTC payment method, yes. If so they need to offer us the possibility to stay decentralized which is essential to all crypto i think. For now, I'm using ModulTrade and hoping more people could make use of it, as it's free shipment smart-contract decentralized marketplace.  Also looking forward to expanding the Blockchain technologies throughout the world.

If Amazon is through their  payment system start in bitcoin , I would certainly welcome them to this negative decision. Through bitcoin's formally used bitcoin's transaction will be used. The general public will know better about this and bitcoin will increase. And bitcoin will gradually start at all commercial centers And bitcoin will gradually start use at all commercial centers.

This is my personal opinion. I do not know how much the argument could be.

It could also turn Amazon on a black marketplace. Which is exactly what Amazon doesn't want. The company doesn't need to some kind of bad buzz like how BlackPage and VivaStreet got before. Most people forget to think about that.
Not only Amazon has its own payment processor (AmazonPay) it can see BTC as a competitor (it could also be an argument).

For the price fluctuations Amazon may decide to take the risk in accepting bitcoin payments. The main problem will be with the customers. I once saw my transaction take close to 24 hours before it got confirmed. Until this issue is solved, many customers will not enjoy the service well even if Amazon decides to accept bitcoin.

Indeed this is what bothers me sometimes, not just in the E-market but also in the physical markets that accepts these payments. How would they manage to realize its value in order to be recognized as a revenue or sales? It might cause more losses whenever market falls. Not like that their suppliers would also accept Bitcoin anyway, unless such agreement of payment method could be made. It still extends to both parties not just particularly for the seller and supplier.

I know a lot of people will side for Amazon to accept Bitcoin but I’m not in support of that. It doesn’t sound like a good idea to me for the e-commerce giant (Amazon) to accept Bitcoin.

First of all, Bitcoin is volatile and they are not sure of the future regulation of Bitcoin. Another thing will be difficulty in processing returns, so Bitcoin is not good idea for Amazon to accept. It’s best that people buy gift cards, there are lots of sites that can sell Amazon gift cards to you which you buy with Bitcoin.
