Learning the troll avoidance button :)
He-he I was thinking the Simpsons but that was amusing
+1 to the Icebreaker
I can see how a stable environment would be useful for mining and storage

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.

Springfield Underground is cost-effective, secure, adaptable and environmentally friendly commercial real estate located 100 feet below ground in Springfield, Missouri. Its unusual location shields tenants from virtually all man-made and natural disasters. And, even though it is rail-served and accessible by truck, it is a limited access facility and affords exceptional security. A constant temperature of 62 degrees ensures low, uniform climate control costs for our clients.

It's not Cheyenne Mountain, but should be sufficient for our needs.

Plot Twist: heat/noise/controversy/drama from AMC's mining awakens hibernating Silurians from their 100 million year slumber.

Chaos ensues until UNIT restores order.   Shocked

the sun is shining, but the ice is still slippery
I just walked down to the unit. There is no sign outside but it looks like computers and desk inside with lots of boxes. This unit has been vacant so this is a new company for sure. There was a dry erase board on the floor with VMC Bitcom written in big letters.

So yes Ken has the unit and it looks like he is receiving orders at it like he said (the boxes). So I would say that's also a really positive sign as VMC wouldn't rent this space unless they needed it - they could only need it to assemble rigs or to house mining machines. I hope the trip is still on for the guys I'm sure both parties would get a lot out of the contact.

If you not blowing smoke, then this is very good news you bring  Grin

In case you guys missed it, this is where Ken has reserved 2 full rack space for some or our miners:

I recently read of the recent trend (recent for North America at least) for various industries going underground. So when I saw this it simply coincided with my past reading & makes sense. Nothing wrong with positioning your hardware in a location that could serve as a Nuclear Fallout Shelter. Protect your investments, or so they say  Cool

Now that I have taken up thread space & forum bandwidth, I wish I had more meat to add. Ill simply close by stating, I've enjoyed buying from weak hands for the better part of the day.

If you guys can visit this when the road trip happens, that'd be awesome, with proof, pics etc if possible (like what reddit does for the AMAs).

Sorry, but the security is very high.  It is going to take about 10 days for us to get all of paperwork, badges, and Ids, so that
we can move the equipment there.

I've been reading the thread closely for the past few days (I have shares in AMC) and see that the issue over AMC/VMC ownership (AMC share holders own neither company at the moment) is being addressed by Ken after lots of concern. For sure share holders need to own the company and it's profits and it's assets and no CEO should be able to declare one entity bankrupt only to walk off with shareholders investments in the other. OK that's being sorted.

The other big issue was how genuine the company was and this Unit in Springfield - does it exist?

Well I contacted by email a local company in one of the neighboring units. I explained briefly there were some concerned shareholders who wanted to know if the company were at the Unit. Got a reply back and here is a quote from it:

I just walked down to the unit. There is no sign outside but it looks like computers and desk inside with lots of boxes. This unit has been vacant so this is a new company for sure. There was a dry erase board on the floor with VMC Bitcom written in big letters.

This is positive news, and another bull rally, I think I need to buy more.

The skeptics won't take that as proof of course but for me thats positive news. Thanks for that (although now its been done once hopefully we don't all pester other local businesses to verify this... might make Ken quite unpopular with his neighbours!)

I'm winging it here, so dismiss this idea if you think it is a stupid. Does BitFunder allow private sales of shares from one person (ie Ken) to another (aka 'the buyer')? You know about a Dutch Auction? Ken could ask 'who wants to buy x shares at y price' (example: 10k @ 0.005) then reduces the price in 0.0001 increments until someone bites? This technique would only be used to issue new shares into the market. Obviously once bought, they trade on the exchange as you'd expect. The main benefit is it removes the need for large walls, and allows Ken to test the market in a fair way, ie everyone sees the first high Ask and is welcome to grab the offer when the price is reduced to the level they find acceptable?

Like I say, this could be an insane suggestion, but remember the Facebook IPO? They couldn't even get that right with the 'smartest' brains in Wall Street, the price went all over the place on launch.

1. Bitfunder allows transfers between accounts, you could just sell them here.

2. If VMC (gotta get used to that name) wants to do a Dutch auction on this site, shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, this is a good idea, I will keep it in mind.

When do you think you can share the terms and agreement for the new business model? Looking forward to see how much of what we talked about here is incorporated into that draft. I think we've covered alot of the major issues that were concerning shareholders and potential investors. I am looking forward to the new agreement. On a side note AMC's stock looks a lot better than where we were at a before you starting responding Ken. A little bit of communication goes a long day. Thanks for reaching out to all of us.

It will be as soon as I can get everything put together.  However, I am going to take a few days off for the 4th.  Going down to Branson for a few days.  It will still be a working vacation as there are few details we will have to wrap up on Friday concerning our Avalon clone prototypes.

That sounds great. We all need to take a break and enjoy the 4th. I think we all deserve a much needed getaway. It's time to relax and enjoy time with our friends and family. Enjoy your time off and we hope to hear back from you after the weekend. Once again just want to mention that we've made great progress with the help of Ken as well as other shareholders and potential investors that put their thoughts into what will soon be our game plan. Can't wait to get things set in stone and throw some more coins into the venture.

Ken, maximise your downtime, don't feel obliged to work on VMC 24/7 when holidays are calling. We all appreciate what you have done so far, it is very impressive.

I understand. I did not know that is not supported by BitFunder. Maybe we can ask exchange owner Ukyo to take a look into this and make some changes? I know it's a long shot but if we can get this implemented where only sold shares would get dividends it would be great.

Yes. That would be the best choice. The current workaround is to only create those shares in small batches as they are being bought, so a minimum amount of "unissued" shares exist.

Looks like that is the only way. Ken can put up small walls at a fixed price and as those shares start to disappear he can make more available until he feels enough capital has been raised. Thanks for the explanation VBS.
