I got my 2 Sapphire RX 570 Nitro+ yesterday and now have them mining ZCash at a combined rate of ~550 H/s.
I trottled back the core, so both running at 1150/1750 and total watt at wall for this two card rig is a nice 226 Watts.
For ETH they are doing around ~24.5MH/s out of the box, total Watt is 235Watts. Same core/mem speed.
No matter what I try the rig crashes if I increase mem freq to 1751, up one from the default 1750.
Display starts artifacting, then driver crashes and hard boot is required. That's bad news if I want to copy the 1750 mem strap to 2000. I think these cards have got the shittiest memory chips of the all, the Micron/Elpida. Has anybody managed to
overclock these?
EDIT: GPU-Z shows the memory as Hynix, so I should be better off than with Micron, right?
I have the same problem with botch cards: Cant increase mem beyond 1750. Just 1MHz over and the rig crashes. What gives?
Post additional info: 1) Drivers 2) OS 3) Modded or not? (Details) 4) What software are you using to OC?
Also MOBO/Memory/riser or no etc.
Much easier to help then.
Driver is 17.4.3 with atikmdag-patcher-bios. Win 7 64 SP 1 only.
I think I have solved it.
Somehow, Claymore's zecminer -mclock switch causes these cards to artifact. So I removed -mclock switch from the cmd.
I used d0ct0r83's SRBPolaris editor to change the memory default frequency to 1800, just as a start. I then copied the
1750 strap to higher. I burned new BIOS to the first card to test it. It is working now at 1150/1800.
I am on my way to higher hashrates now :-) Will send some coin to d0ct0r83 for his excellent editor.
