About what I expected. Jake Paul looked good and so did Silva. I’m the end though it was the 8th round knockdown that won the fight for him. If it wasn’t for that momentary lapse then I think people would be debating who won the fight. I don’t think Silva was hurt at all, which is great, but he did take a good shot and lost his balance tumbling backwards. Everyone with money on Paul is happy. He said he wanted Nate Diaz or Canelo next.

Did he now? Wow, such a big words for a man who hasn't beat any real boxer up until now. The odds and advantage are almost siding with him though because he has the youth, speed and more boxing bouts in his career, Anderson Silva is good but it was evident that he isn't good enough with against young heavy hitter like Paul. The fight is so close and I was expecting a draw already but that 8th round knockdown changed it.

My bet went to Silva but Jake won the fight, but this have not stopped me from supporting Silva, we all know that Silva's age was his first enemy before his opponent stepped in, there is no way we should compare a man in his late 40s to a man just in his mid 20s, there's a very huge gap there but even though i know that probability of Jake winning the fight was higher due to his young age, i still gave Silva my bet because even if Jake won, i see no honor in it.
Jake should stop fighting men that are already gone out of their prime and start fighting men in his age category, if not, his winnings will continue to be irrelevant to me .

I laughed when he said he want to fight Canelo. as much as I like how he performed in this match, it would be a mismatch if he fights Canelo. but if Canelo accepted it, it would gain so much attention and would definitely generate a lot of money(that's why I understand why he wants to fight Canelo).

I only see the highlight of the fight on Youtube, compared to the past fights of Jake Paul, this is a more competitive one I was surprised by the score, it should have been close because Silva is giving Paul a lot of clean punches, that knockdown on the final round gives Paul the edge on the judges' scorecard, Jake Paul's journey continues and he is now calling Nate Diaz this time.
Silva can also move forward with his boxing he is still good.

Technically speaking and let's say they are 100% serious, Jake Paul might has the upper hand here. Even Anderson Silva is an experienced fighter, his body might not cooperate according to his will because obviously, the capability is not present now.

But either way, I won't place a bet at this fight as maybe there might be irregularities here or sort of manipulation. Who knows.
When it's about manipulation, Jake Paul will win the fight, that's why I never think Silva will win here. Silva is an old fighter and he doesn't have any good record, so Silva will let Jake Paul win to get easy money. Just like Tyron Woodley who's a beast on UFC, but as we can see his performance against Paul is really bad, he lose two times against Paul. If Paul already challenge a real boxer who have light heavyweight belts, then Paul will 100% lose on that's fight.

That is a good point! But we know that experience will somehow help Silva in this fight, Jake Paul might be a decent boxer with good knockout punch but that will be a challenge in his side to do because Silva at his age is still quite agile to evade any serious punch. Anyway, just as you said, this is a rare interesting fight that we should see soon. My side belongs to the MMA HOF, we'll see who will be victorious at the end of the day.

If there's one fighter who can challenge Jake Paul it's going to be Silva, Silva only has one fight in boxing but that one fight is enough to show boxing experts and critics that he has what it takes, I have a feeling that this fight will be very much different from all the fight Jake Paul has, I don't want to see Silva getting knock out just like what happened to Woodley as this will tarnish his image and his legacy, I also noticed that both fighters have big respect to each other, let's see in the ring if they will still respect each other.

Both fighters respect each other because as we all know that they are they same they have a good record that they hold in and they don't want to ruin everything respect for the both sides is a good to see how they handle their opponent but in the fight day all this thing's are set aside and fight for their title as it was a big fight for them. Silva is different from other fighters quite but deadly so jake Paul must be alert on the time and have a good practice .

For me, this fight could be defined in a technical way, as you have said, these boxers are very gentlemen among themselves, I do not see that there is much bad rivalry, but sports rivalry, which is what should always exist, and not the humiliation that always Some boxers are made, I think that to attract attention, here they put in context two boxers who may have a lot of respect but who only have to fight as much as possible for that respect and you say who will be the best, of course for me This can be defined in a very technical way, but anything can happen in boxing, both boxers have a lot of potential.

Important News:

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva fight WILL go ahead after emergency decision

Quote
Jake Paul WILL fight Anderson Silva this weekend after the crossover boxing bout was given the green light.

The fight was in danger of being cancelled when Silva revealed he had been knocked out twice as he sparred in preparation for the bout. He later rowed back on the claims and insisted he had simply used the wrong words in English.

But the Arizona Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts Commission decided to investigate and held an emergency meeting on Thursday night to determine whether Silva was fit to compete. They ultimately concluded the 47-year-old can take on 25-year-old YouTuber Paul in what will be the latter's sixth professional outing.

I was stunned upon reading the op and its betting market showing Anderson Silva is slim favorite over Jake Paul. Updated betting market I found at Moonbet is showing Jake Paul now takes the lead at 1.75 over Anderson Silva at 2.0.

So Anderson Silva is now the underdog just like what many of us here are imagining. Anderson Silva has nice boxing skills but at 47 years old, I am questioning his ability to last long. I mean, how is his stamina gonna survive? Many people are laughing on the career of Jake Paul but he is just young and developing. And in his training, he looks committed even if he fightin' non boxers.

I saw some bets right now in the listing of all bets in some gambling casino and yes most of the people right now are trying to bet for Jake Paul and I guess the underdog right now in term of bets is Silva but it is just a an initial bet before the match came there's a chance that the players might change their bet before the close bets happens.

Yes, that it correct, Anderson Silva is the underdog and that shouldn't be surprises us all. He is old already and way past his prime, but can still hold his own in this fight.

But if you are talking about sentimental favorites, then I would say that Silva will be our favorite because we wanted him to beat the arrogant Jake Paul. Although Jake is respectful in this fight and wouldn't hear anything negative from him regarding his opponents, still though majority of us didn't like his personality or how he started this whole exhibition match hype.

Even in their press conference it seemed like they already were expecting Jake Paul to win. They basically announced a new organization to provide better health care to UFC fighters and Anderson Silva will be the President if he loses. If Silva wins then Jake will kickbox him. Silva seemed well aware of what will happen when he loses and I’m sure he doesn’t want to fight again, even kickboxing. I may toss a few bucks on Paul.

Just matter of days now, as others wanted to see Anderson Silva kicking Jake Paul ass here, hehehehe. But I doubt that it will happen, it's just this two is going to make a lot of money. And after this fight, this two might continue to seek more exhibition matches specially the Paul Brothers as they are still hype.

With yesterday’s UFC in the books and Suga Sean getting himself a victory over Yan, it looks like the next big fight for the social media stars is Jake Paul and Anderson Silva. I’ve watched a few of Silvia’s fights and it seems like he isn’t the greatest boxer so I see why Jake’s camp was willing to make this fight. Most of Silvia’s skills are with kicking and submitting, so I think Jake has a better chance than most people are giving him.

No mate, Anderson Silva already had 4 professional fights in boxing and this is his 5th fight. Two of those fights happened last year in just a span of four mere months, imagine Silva's age, yet he managed to attain that feat and finished it all successfully even if he is an MMA fighter. That's why I'm confident to say that this will be Jake's first defeat, I just hope that this isn't staged tho.

And as a bettor, that is our concern that this might be rigged and stage so it's hard to bet on this kind of match. But I do agree that Silva has good win in boxing recently, specially against a full blown pro in JCC Jr.

I also hear that some fans wanted to see Jake Paul being knock out here, specially by the legend in Silva hehehe. Perhaps it was the hatred  against Jake Paul or it just the fans of Silva pushing it obviously. But let's see, I wouldn't be surprised if Anderson Silva wins this fight.

Yes, it's much better to watch and enjoy the fight rather than betting on it because we can't really know for sure as there are rumors that both camps had a pact. Either way, only them can confirm it and surely they won't let the public know. Majority here sides with Silva and I can't blame them because it really shows that he have the higher hand as he is not that kind of novice in the world of boxing.

I probably won't bet this fight because I have no idea who will win.

Yes, so the best thing to do is not to bet on this fight.

Anderson Silva is clearly the better and more established fighter, but he's old...  Jake has age and likely supplements on his side, so for me this is a risky fight for Anderson Silva while also being one hell of a payday.  I can see why he didn't want to turn this fight down.  Win or lose I suspect it'll be the last time he enters the ring.

But if you look at it, Silva has a good fighting stance and I would say a good boxer and he has the experience to beat Jake Paul but the age difference though.

Personally, I'd like to see Jake get knocked out and I'd hate to see Anderson Silva get knocked out, so I probably have too much emotion on the line to add money to it.  I'll watch the fight though and hope for the best.  Old man power better be on display.

Who wouldn't like to see him at least touching the canvass for the first time if I'm not mistaken. But it will be a big task for Anderson, but he will have to test the chin of Jake Paul and see how strong it is.

That is a sight that I also love to see but we know that it's not that simple and as you guys are discussing above, it's much better to enjoy and watch the fight rather than betting on it because I doubt that there's a winner here. Silva is much adored and respected by Jake Paul so that is a sign and Jake Paul won't agree to lose because he is also building his career. That said, we might see a draw here, although that is just an speculation but I think that will happen.
I also think the same, for me this fight will not be as exciting as the one between Canelo and GGG, I think the fight will have a tint similar to loa de exchiición, despite the fact that it is a real fight and that it has many things to bet and to win and losing, for me both boxers have a unique respect for each other, and I think neither has much intention of seeing the other below the other, for me both are very good, and I also think that the best thing for this fight is to have a good rate of popcorn and enjoy the technique that both can show, it is very likely that there will be a tie, if I had to bet on an epate I would go for it.

Well, sometimes our relevance in one or more boxers can be affected by emotions, some bet much more on Silva, maybe he is the boxer who has much more hierarchy, although as I said before, I did not know who to bet on, I see The two boxers are very even, it's difficult, and although anyone can give a surprise, but I think that for a knockout I see very low possibilities, to be honest too low, I don't think something like that happens no matter how much you want one of the other, if they start with intentions like that, it is only that there can be a type of sighting to discover the other's plan, for me this fight will be very close.

Sometimes you basically depend on the age bracket and how long it participants in a fight will determine it's wining, Anderson Silva (47 years old) and it may be that it has not lost it weight of fighting, but people in another means of understanding will directly like Anderson Silva because of it's age and the high odds also. Why people will not to give Jake paul 27 years old as amateur or newbies in fighting, and they will not like to choose.

Both have edges and advantages so we can only rely our decision on how well we know and have witnessed the previous performances of these boxers. As for me, I believe that Anderson's stamina and strength will still be able to knock down Jake Paul despite his age. Anderson has a  broader experience and he already knows how to counter his opponent. He has been through a lot so age will not be a hindrance this time.

It's like you say mate, for me Anderson is one of the oldest boxers and with more opinions for everything, age in boxing is not as decisive as it is in football or in any other sport where it really affects a lot, in the ring you don't need to run, just take a few steps and move well, I think the technique goes a lot there, but of course many will say that Paul has the advantage because he is younger, because he is more irreverent and because he is not afraid of him Nothing for the simple fact of being younger, and maybe yes, but in boxing things can happen in other ways, sometimes a 47-year-old veteran can knock you out and you won't realize it.

That is a good point! In this fight I don't think there is a type of knockout, I don't see it from anyone, both boxers for me are at the same level, I don't think one is bigger than the other, I feel that both Jake and Silva above all serve of good athletes for example of boxing, it is a fight that as I said before, I do not see that there is a clear winner by advantage and I do not know for whom I could make a bet, I see this fight as very tough, and I think that both boxers have prepared very well, for me it could end in a draw, I don't see any overwhelming advantage over any boxer, also if it goes to the technical level (I hope not) I will feel a bit bored.
