Sometimes you basically depend on the age bracket and how long it participants in a fight will determine it's wining, Anderson Silva (47 years old) and it may be that it has not lost it weight of fighting, but people in another means of understanding will directly like Anderson Silva because of it's age and the high odds also. Why people will not to give Jake paul 27 years old as amateur or newbies in fighting, and they will not like to choose.

If we based on their age than for sure make Paul has a advantage it because as we all know  20 years of behind is a good enough and a young fighter fight his older opponent which is veteran enough and had many experience in the world of fight so Silva has advantage in terms of fighting skills, experience and technique but in terms of age then like what I said make Paul had advantage.

Agreed, age will surely be a point while choosing the odds. When the age comparison is made, we should also make the performance and the experience comparison. Jake Paul is just a beginner when considered against Anderson Silva. This makes majority of the people bet on Anderson Silva. These are truly not the real fight that we enjoy, just hyped ones.

There is Anderson Silva (47 years old)
There is Jake paul 27 years old.

Anderson silva is one of the best fighters in ufc of a ll times along with jon jones, Demothry Jonson, gsp..
He has good boxing as well.  Finally paul someone who can box.

Anderosn silva is the better boxer
Jake paul has more strengh and youth advantage.

Both fighters know how to box. Jake paul ko some ufc fighters who don't box well like ben askren and tyron woodenly.
Anderson silva is the same weight class as jake paul (unlike his previous opponent who were weight class bellow)  That also help me to make my decision on the bet.

The odds now are close.

-140 on Anderson silva (Bet 140$ to gain 100$)
+100 on jake paul (Bet 100$ to win $100)

The Floyd mayweather fight show us  that champion kick ass even on their old age. Floyd  now is 45 years old and beat some young tokyo guy with 22-3 records.

I go on Anderson Silva  The dude has good boxing and he will train and be in good condition for fight.
There is no reason Silva shouldn't beat him.

500$ on Silva.

You just didn't compare Floyd with Silva did you lol.  Floyd fought Connor and Floyd is a BOXING all time great he wasn't crossing over into boxing.  Anderson Silva was never a professional boxer. Mma and boxing is wildly different.  Floyd could have been a zillion to 1 again Connor and it still would have been a good bet.  This matchup is just some exhibition that could go either way and the odds are about right.

Just sharing the opinion of Wilder's former coach - Malik Scott.

Quote
Silva’s being brought in, he’s got a great name. He’s a great fighter. But I believe Jake Paul has also become a good fighter as well. Is he a world beater? Absolutely not. But is he an influencer fighter? Not to me no more. I’m not going to keep saying it because he’s actually looking better than some boxers.

Interesting point of view by a boxing trainer here, not just because he thinks that Jake has a chance to win against Silva, but his take that he is good in boxing per se, as he has a massive follower and perhaps he thinks that those fans are into boxing right now.

I go with Anderson Silva on this one.  I wanted him to give Jake Paul the taste of his first defeat.

I don't know if this is gonna be scripted not in this fight but if the fight is in equal no favor then Silva has the advantage for my opinion because as a legend he plays very well good punches and counter punch he already master and based on their performance but in this fight ill also bet for make Paul which is in practical life he will win for sure. And also the awaited fight is almost come for sure both fighters prepared it well.
There is a possibility that the fight will be scripted so let's just hope that they don't do that.  Anderson Silva is the underdog here, even if he has lots of experience on MMA, boxing is a different sports.  It is more tiring because of heavier gloves and attack is limited because a boxer can't use anything to attack except his punches which is very different from MMA where a fighter has the freedom to use everything in his arsenal as long as it is legal.

I'd love to see Anderson Silva knock down Jake Paul but this is an obvious win for the Paul Brothers production. Anyway, it's just entertainment, I am not sure if they will give their all here. Even in the press conference that happened there's no spark at all. It's too peaceful. You will have the kind of idea that it will be scripted. Betting, I will be wise to bet for Paul even if it's not much profitable.
I wish this will not be a game that will bring down the reputation of Silva before he fully retires.

I would love to see that, Paul being knockout by the legend. But I don't think that Anderson Silva has the power though. So my vote goes to Jake Paul winning this fight in the scorecard and hopefully there is no setup or the fight not being rigged. Silva won against a boxer the last time, so this might be a good fight and the fight going into the judges again.

Jake Paul has too much respect for Anderson Silva that there are not spark or trash talking in the press conference. And easy money for both, as fans will be interested on how this fight will end.

Same here, I like to see Anderson Silva knocking out Jake Paul.  Let us hope it happens to show Jake Paul not to take advantage of aged and washed up fighters.

Issues come up like this could be an exhibition fight because Jake is a fan of Anderson Silva and you don't wanna disrespect the idolized celeb but so far Logan vs Mayweather does look like a real fight. Nothing is wrong if this is an exhibition fight, I'm sure they consider letting people know is an exhibition but they are not saying yet.

They already announce and set a day. It would be a shame for Jake to once again postponed the fight.  It possible but if not, its def Jake winning.

In my opinion and my personal assessment this is the toughest bet to decide who is worth betting on for fighting sports fans, from one side Jake Paul looks familiar in the boxing arena, he likes challenges that make his fans dizzy around the clock, what else is his name in this forum, has become a boxer like an artist.

But in my opinion boxing this time is a heavy boxing for Jake Paul to fight Silva next October, you can say Paul to try his luck wants to fight a former UFC and MMA legend, from my observations and visions I tend to be more convinced that if I place a bet in the future it will be on Silva's side this time, of course I have reasons for my belief that Silva can knock out paul.

There’s already an established thread for this fight in this forum section. I’ll link it below:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/jake-paul-vs-anderson-silva-october-29th-5412630

For what it’s worth, I like that fighters are saying Silva is going to win this easily. I’m not so sure though. He’s getting up there in age. 20 years ago he would’ve killed Jake in 30 seconds. Father Time is cruel though and I think we’re going to find out next month just how cruel.

3 years ago, we  still saw Anderson take punches and bend to avoid a high kick during his fight with Adesanya. He still has a fast hand but his legs might just prevent him from moving away whenever Jake comes. Anderson struggle to balance after a spinning kick, he has to drop his hands to the ground.  He is not in good condition to fight a big young man like Jake.

I think the odds are decent to give it a try for Jake Paul. Anderson Silva is a good fighter, but he already had his peak years ago and haven't been the same anymore since he was caught cheating through drugs usage to boost his performance. Age must be also a factor that can be strategically exploited by Jake Paul on the arena.
Sometimes it's not solely about who is the toughest and strongest, but the smartest one who is able to use the disadvantages of the opponent against him.

Anderson Silva has a lot of experience, in his old age he still keeps his body in shape. Jake Paul because he is young and experience far below Anderson, the odds are definitely favourite Anderson. But Jake Paul can't be underestimated he has strength too, anyway he started this fight, so I will choose Jake Paul. Although on the other side I want to see jake paul fall.

I think Jake Paul hits harder than Anderson Silva. Jake is the bigger power puncher. While Anderson Silva has the better technique and boxing fundamentals. Its a power hitter (Paul) vs finesse and technique (Silva) match up.

In Jake Paul's last fight, he hit Tyron Woodley with a solid right hand to the body. It must have hurt as Woodley spent the rest of the fight trying to avoid being hit with the same punch to the midsection again. The ending sequence came with Jake Paul faking a punch to the body. Woodley dropped his hand to parry what he thought would be a body punch. Jake Paul shot his right hand to the head instead to score the knockout. It was a basic setup that Woodley fell for.

I don't think Anderson Silva will fall for that level of trap. Silva has options Woodley did not.

Anderson Silva is my pick here. Although at age 47 it is possible that Silva has slowed down enough for Jake Paul's youth to win outright.

Jake Paul can fight and I think Jake Paul is picking an opponents that has a relevant history on being a champion or has a great title. We all know that Anderson Silva had a terrible leg injury that made his long winning streak over, I think his leg injury affected his whole MMA career given that he experience multiple losses after he lost his winning streak. This affects his agility in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, Anderson Silva is a great boxer and he has experience to it. I think he still has the fire to beat Jake Paul on a boxing ring, So my bet is on Anderson Silva if ever this exhibition match happened.

This is a tough fight, is hard to choose one because both have a high KO power, lets remember that fight when Anderson Silva KO Tito Ortiz on the first round.

The age difference is big and i feel that give some advantage to Jake, but the experience that Silva has is another fact to consider, that's why is complex to choose one, But if i had to, i would go for Silva. In my opinion experience is what will give him the win on this one.

Floyd is different scenario to Silva because he was retired in perfect record while Silva retired with many serious injury in the past and in lose streak. Floyd is also fighting on his original sports while Silva is came from MMA and will fight in boxing so obviously Floyd is a different case and shouldn’t be compared to this match since he is still in perfect shape on Boxing.

Silva body is full of fatal injury so definitely he is not the same during his prime strength. I will bet on Jake Paul since he have the odds advantage while this match is even if we will not view Jake as a influencer  in my opinion.

I think the odd wasn't just right considering how Jake upset all of his past fights and 4 of them are in KO. But there's a rumor as well with him on Tommy Fury and that could be a possible as well, I think it's more of a best fight rather than fighting Silva because of age gap.

First, is it official already?
Yes, the fight will happen on October 29.

Quote
Since this is boxing, well, I guess I have to go with Jake Paul here.
Me too,

I bet Paul doesn't mean he's better boxer than Silva, but he's very good making money in this industry and of course he must not lose to make the hype still crowd. I believe Silva is agree to lose and taking a good amount share, Silva has a chance to beat Paul but this match is already fixed.

Quote
however, since it's just an exhibition fight,
Based on boxrec, this is a professional fight though I understand most people will think it's an exhibition fight.
