Am still having issue. I downloaded that blockchain file my window wallet version 1.8 still don't sync. But when I opened window wallet 1.7 it's sync but don't bring up my coin. Please is it possible for me to lose 424,000 coins like that? Admin kindly help me. Have been stressing myself since yesterday. I need my coins back.

1 Do you have a backup of your old wallet?
2 Close the wallet remove it if you Don't have a backup DON'T REMOVE!!!!
3 Download the new wallet and run the .exe wait till it starts then close.
4 Download the snapshot and extract into your username/user/appdata/roaming/1337
5 Open the wallet again and let it fully sync.
6 When sync is done close the wallet and rename the wallet.dat in the roaming/1337 folder to something like wallet.dat_old
7 Import a copy of your backup of the old wallet
8 Open your wallet and it should work again fully synced and showing your balance

Don't forget the backup this is important

Still don't sync. And I don't get my coin yet. Telling me sync with 1337 network 633 blocks remaining. Please who can help me with this? Who can do it for me please. Am tired of this. How can I get my coins back? Huh

I also had this problem when I updated to new wallet. The only solution I found was re-download the whole blockchain again. It took me about 1.5 days for it to sync again fully. To re-sync fully with the new wallet, go to username/user/appdata/roaming/1337 folder and delete everything in the folder EXCEPT wallet.dat, Then just open the new 1.8 wallet and let it resync.
You can also add "chart=0" to 1337.conf to disable the chart on the wallet.

This could work to indeed i had the same issue and did all the steps i posted if you do this correctly you wouldn't know now already that it isn't working because it takes a few hours to complete step 5 and get to step 6 so my guess here is you didn't wait for that process.
It will show you balance 0 until it's fully synced and you replaced the wallet.dat file but after that your good to go. So try one of these steps but you need to let it fully sync first else you will face the same problem again and again.

This is what wallet is telling me, "Catching up.... Downloading 908173 of 908806 blocks of transaction history (99.93%) done). Last received block was generated 15 ago". But if I open old version wallet 1.70 it's will sync... Please help me. I need my coins back admin and guys.

Did you download the Snapshot from Velvet? And it still says 633 blocks remaining? Can you include screenshots here please.

Does Cryptopia still has problem with the wallet ? I've sent coins from Nova and from my wallet to Cryptopia roughly at the same time but the latter hasn't arrived since yesterday. My wallet is the 1.7 and is in sync. Please give me advise.

Well before I was looking forward to the woot coin, but now I'm not as sure. If your time as a dev would then be divided then that would have effects on both coins, plus also the added pressure on you to constantly tend to both. I think 1337 has great momentum, and with the right road map, graphics refresh, bigger exchanges, stake4charity initiative, expanding to more real world use like minecraft, business useage somehow, This could really take off. It's true that the volume is quite high, but achieving a 1000+ sats price is not impossible, just look at ripple. I think great marketing and as much real world use as possible is the key. Getting companies and businesses on board in using the tech would be amazing. Maybe you could even start your own folding @ home enterprise through 1337, that would bring in many researchers on board, especially if you expand beyond medical and into science, maths, quantum etc...

Just a few thoughts, forgive my rambling...
