Bug report:
Have short positions on gold and silver, trying to update my stop loss (leaving Take Profit blank), I get an error "Take Profit cannot be greater than Stop Loss".
This problem should be fixed now. Thanks.

So what about the long announced "Take Profit" now? I don't think this is too hard to add, since it's working like the "Stop Loss" or are you guys fearing this feature 'cause it would increase your losses?
The "Take Profit" implementation is now ready for usage. You can add/edit the take profit value in the position overview.

Sorry for the delay. We had to make urgent internal upgrades in the past weeks what kept us busy.

what will happen with open positions by the time of the switch?
If the price stays at 135 they will loose (Leverage*0.78)% of their value.

You will probably give a warning with the exact date/time in the page before, won't you?

Yes, I will do that.

We have to increase the spread because of economic reasons as picobit correctly guessed.
Since December 2012 this market caused a loss of about 600 BTC.  Although the other markets can compensate this easily we have to improve the situation.
However, we will try to keep the spread as low as possible in the long term.

Also keep in mind that we will still offer a lower spread than all?/most of our competitors.

+400% on spread of BTC/USD? what kind of step is this?

It means that they are loosing money and hope to earn more this way - perhaps due to the intoduction of stop-loss (*).  It also means that I will stop opening and closing positions twice every week, and either have a position open for longer time times or not at all.  Most likely the latter, the spread becomes comparable to the one at ICBIT, might at well use their futures.

(*) Any tool that makes it easier for traders to earn money will mean a loss for 1broker, since we all gamble against 1broker here, unlike a futures-based site like ICBIT - on the other hand ICBIT suffers from large contangos when users want to go long, and a pretty horrible spread due to low liquidity.

Meh, You can always switch to 796 (close all opening orders every weekend), or btc.sx (daily fees)

i tried btc.sx 2 times, and never could open a position

796 isn't CFD is it?
796  works similarly, just that those orders are not traded with the site but other peers on 796. Works similar to 1broker, 1:4 on Short and 1:2 on Long, closes order every weekend 2350 GMT+8

I did have had a look at this before, but didn't understood nothing.. lol

will have another look at it, thanks

Sorry for the downtime of our price server. The upgrade to our new system wasn't as smooth as expected, but keep in mind that we are constantly improving things here.
However, if you are unable to close positions and actually lose money because of an outage, we will always refund the losses. Just contact us, in this case.

PS: Stock markets are not broken. Today, they are closed. (Labor day: http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/Trader.aspx?id=Calendar)
