This project is a scam, beware the wallet if you have ever run it on your computer.  You've been warned.

Thank you for your warning!

We have just improved this Scam project and added 4096 bit encrypted file transfer feature to our wallet which will be released soon in next wallet version 1.0.6

We will keep improving this project and let haters die watching this project growing.

Interesting.

Just stumbled across this topic, i see dev is still active, many different users discussing things in here, gonna give this one a try!
Nice name too.
One thing i'd really like to know is, is the dev funds adress public? So everyone can see whats happening with it, this would be very good if its the case.

Oh yeah one more question, i've been reading some scary posts about scammy pools not paying coins, wich pools are legit as far as ya'll know?

This project is self funded by it's devs and we take no donations. We run no ICO's and we are not selling any coins. " Up to each one to trust that or not"
To be in safe side use the pools listed in our explorer http://explorer.ultranote.org/#pools

Here you can find a list of official and community pools. http://explorer.ultranote.org/#pools
You can use any pool that works best for you. Sometimes you can be connected to a wrong port or having wrong static difficulty which will lead for disconnections and drop in rewards.

In future release we may integrate GPU mining along side with CPU mining to the GUI wallet so miners don't need additional software to mine XUN using GPU.
Regarding the static difficulty - I've seen it give much better results than dynamic. Is there a rule of thumb of the correct setting for the static difficulty versus hash rate?

UltraNote is now listed on CoinCodex, you can add XUN tokens to your CoinCodex portfolio!

Very nice thank you. Please send me your XUN wallet address to make a donation for your project.

Is there an POW algorithm change plan to resist the new asic, antminer x3?

Yes, We will be looking into that in due time when antminers x3 is out.

I resumed mining XUN about 26 hours ago and I am getting lots of disconnects and rejected shares on port 7777; a disconnect every 5-15 minutes, it looks like, so even worse than it was before. I am also seeing significantly lower than expected earnings for the previous 24 hours: 548 vs. a minimum of 650, and more like 750 based on average difficulty and my hashrate of 1900 H/s.

I suspect these issues are related, but a contributing factor I've identified on other pools that had poor earnings are stingy PPLNS/PPLNT settings. I don't know if that applies here, however.
Switch to solo mining.

Solo mining is an interesting option; I haven't done that before, but it does look like I have a reasonable amount of hashrate vs. difficulty and block reward to give it a shot. Otherwise I am going to stop mining XUN unless a fair/trustworthy pool is opened in the US because I never earned anywhere close to the expected amount of XUN given the pool-reported hashrate.

@Desp suggested I switch from port 5555 to 7777 and that seems to have greatly reduced the disconnects - so far only 1 in 2 hours, where before I was getting disconnected every 10-30 minutes. I'm still seeing about 2.5% rejected shares, though, but this is likely due to my distance from the server.

Yes I noticed the ITNS hash rate increase as well today.

That said, I've temporarily stopped mining XUN because of the NiceHash attack. And note that even if the "officially sanctioned" pools agree to not allow NH, all it takes is one pool letting them in to screw up your entire network. The same thing happened to DERO a couple months ago and the dev just gave up on trying to keep NH out (the "if you can't beat them, join them" approach).

EDIT - looks like ITNS is getting pounded by NiceHash, too. Network hashrate for it is now at 20 MH/s when it is normally around 5 MH/s.

Seems like there is a nicehash bombardment going on right now. Hash rate 200khs -> 1.4 Mhs in a few minutes

Hi,
Please join our Discord and we will try to help you. No, there is no problem with the pools and we don't host pools on same server or same location.

I really dislike Discord, but okay... Same username there as here.

Am I the only one getting frequent disconnects (socket error: invalid target) and a higher than normal rate of rejected shares (for invalid solution) of around 2.5% on alpha.ultranote.org? I'm using xmr-stak 2.2.0 and don't see any such problems with other CN coins (DERO, ITNS, TRTL and EDL).

Also, the alpha pool doesn't seem to accept pings, but my ping time to beta.ultranote.org is a bit longer than I would like to see at 121ms so I'm assuming it is the same for alpha. Maybe the above issues are due to a longish packet transit time?
