The OLD chain is not supported anymore. There were a swap which is ended: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17027381. Since you are the early 42 supporter, send me your wallet.dat file for inspection, if everything is ok, I will change your coins to new ones.

I tried it with v. 0.7.5. since my wallet is from 2014. Got 4 connections with the nodes shown on cryptopia, but it does not download a single block since 10 minutes now...

This is a fake detection, I think due to the latest QT version. There is a version with the older QT, you can find it in Dropbox.

But for the old 42 wallet.dat files (before Nov-2016) you should use this wallet: https://github.com/42-coin/42OLD/releases/download/0.7.5/42-qt-0.7.5-win.zip
