Good news guys,

Kimoto from MEGACOIN just responded to my pm, and he has given us some pointers to get the new client up to date with Gravity well.

So far, we have Franko who has helped give us some guidance for our latest updates, and now we have Kimoto from Megacoin.

I'm just saying that people put too much focus on the premine. If a coin is good, then the community can support it without the original developers. If they are pump and dumpers, then they will dump early and it won't have a long term effect on the value.

Also, they developed the coin and made a premine. What they do with the premine is their prerogative. That's the free market. People mined knowing the stats and took a chance. This coin happened to become valuable, so now everyone is worried about the premine. If the developers already rewarded themselves for starting this coin, then good for them. But if so, they probably dumped too soon.

Man what you wanne tell us  transparency is wrong. and if there is JUST 1% why to hide?
hink they sold it, why not tell us?
why start a new coin SHC under a different account. I asked the DEV there if he is hendo.
he answered that he isnt, why all this shaddy things and no answers?

1% isn't much to be transparent about.

I'd rather see a client update.

Plenty of people have mined nearly 1% of worthless coins. They only complain about premines of valuable coins, instead of just being happy about the value. What the devs do with the premine has much less to do with the value of a coin than the hashes it draws.

The latter could be greatly improved for 42 with a client update.
 

A good dev team shows as much transparency as possible

Who cares about the premine? All this coin needs is KGW implemented.

Everything would be fine if you guys
would show us your actual share of the premine
or just tell us that you sold the most of the premine.
Not possible? In fact for the most followers that means you dumped it along time
ago and thats why you dont support and mod. the thread anymore.
SHC higher priority now?

Well, that's the thing - a difficulty of 26 29 is not particularly high.  I understand variance, but a coin with a 42 second target should not go almost an hour without a block.  (55 minutes at this time of writing)

In addition, I'm getting peers connecting to me advertising larger block heights (one said 80349, another over 200000) periodically.  Almost smells like some kind of DDoS attack.

(I'm no crypto expert, but something seems "not right" currently.)

EDIT - got my numbers wrong.

Nothing wrong just high difficulty and low hashrates , a block should be solved soon.

Is there a problem with the blockchain?  It's been about half an hour since the last block.

Has anyone written code to generate a paper wallet for 42?

I would love to see the shock value if an ecommerce store like overstock does accept 42!
Not sure if it will happen, but its good to have some faith! Yes, Overstock is right, the possibilities are endless.

The tweet was asking them if they will accept 42 as a payment for
high priced products on overstock, and here is their response back!

It would be pretty naive to dump at this point. You have to look at market fundamentals, and I mean BASICS...which I'm not going to go into.

I should make another 2 week time capsule and store the hashes in the BEER blockchain again, for fun.

Also, I like that I can compare with a secondary coin BTC, LTC, and XPM (Primecoin)
I did try Primecoin but we aren't being compared to primecoin on an exchange yet, so once thats implemented,
I'd love to see what type of stats it would look like... 42 / XPM! Been a big time supporter of XPM since day 1.

Edit: Continuing my review. I am seeing more value in these charts than I thought... I just did a 2 HOUR real-time stats, and the site gives you so much more in-depth market information. This is seriously a game-changer, not only for 42, but for other supported coins going through this site. BIG +1

I see where you are coming from Hippie, but yeah completely separate from the coin. Businesses launch as their own entity,
we just want to help encourage the adoption of the coin.  But yes, I do see where it was confused by the two.

In a PM, 42Dice implied that he had little/no start up capitol and specifically said that you and/or Hendo covered the website's startup costs.

aside from the other contests we had going on... they pulled every giveaway thread BUT the pizza thread.
