Fair point. I just think that the hope-o-meter needs topping up a bit with something tangible.
For comparison, take a look at the SaffronCoin ANN thread. It may be comparing apples with oranges given that SFR has one full-time dev and Octo has 6 part time but the developer there has an incredible work rate and is rolling out all sorts of interesting features and ideas. I'd even go as far to say he seems to be creating a country coin for India from the ground up without any of the bullshit of airdrops. He's also active in the thread and posting regularly.
EDIT: 2 or 3 of weeks ago it was hovering around 600-800 Satoshi's pretty much tracking Octo so on the plus side it shows what Octo CAN do with some positive news.
It's not really in my own interest to vent my frustration with Octo though and I still want it to succeed and for all the faithful here to prosper so I'll STFU now
pretty happy how this one turned out overall. It still has issues, and further refinement needs to happen to the power levels on the machine to get exactly the etch we are looking for.
