any chance the dark markets that announced XMR support will add AEON anytime soon?

I doubt you'll see that soon. I'd imagine they won't want the extra work maintaining too many wallets.

Since AEON's goal is to be mobile friendly and is "partnered" with Monero, a nice feature of any future AEON mobile (or desktop) wallet might be to pay recipients in Monero. i.e. Implementing something like xmr.to or shapeshift.io from within the wallet. AEON -> XMR. That would probably help adoption.

AEON could always provide some redundancy for those sites (Mastercard to XMR's Visa) in case something happened with XMR. The extra effort adding another cryptonote coin surely wouldn't be too much hard work, AEON community could at least suggest it now that they've seen the light with XMR

When will AEON be added to polo?

That's down to Polo I suppose. If enough people ask them directly, they are more likely to consider it.

There are no new GitHub commits for 8 months. Are you going to retire this repo totally and replace it with a Monero rebase?

The age of the github commits isn't really relevant. I've continued to use that repo whenever updates needed to be made for security issues for example.

I have been thinking that a new repo would be cleaner, since it would better preserve the commit chain.

http://52.8.47.33:8080/# is now closed.

the front-end is still alive (for a few days) so miners can check their personal stats.
the last payment include pending balance superior at 0.01 aeon

Global statistics: http://imgur.com/a/pH8kS

you are welcome on http://54.153.36.187:8080/# (same configuration but on latest ubuntu version)

Anyone know what might cause  " balance "  and  " unlocked balance " to be different for a long period of time now, i.e. 10-12 days??? They differ by less than 6 coins, any ideas would help. P.S. I run one of the pools and unlocker and payouts look ok in the modules. I remember seeing transaction errors in the daemon scroll one day but that usually straightens itself out. Also noted extremely high bad luck for 2 days (-750%)

Thoughts, ideas, ....and .....GO AEON!

pps... and I am referring to the pool wallet if that makes a difference.

I pushed website to https://github.com/sammy007/aeon-site

smooth, as far as I know it's possible to configure 2nd level domain and host it directly from github since it's jekyll. I think would be cool if you fork it and further updates will go through pull requests.

Yes, I agree that's a good approach. I will look into how the details work.

I like the GitHub hosting idea, but what are our best options for domain names?

Was there a roadmap update a little while ago?

Yes!

If you found this answer useful please join Stack Exchange and ask another question about Aeon or Monero

Please add a link for Monero Stack Exchange to the OP

This is relevant to Aeon because Monero SE already has multiple Aeon questions

Because Aeon is a Monero fork many Monero questions are also directly relevant.

i plan to move http://52.8.47.33:8080 at http://54.153.36.187:8080/# episode two !
i must move the pool once a year (because of AWS Free Tier), else i will be charged $20 monthly, very unprofitable.

my previous attempt has failed but this one should be ok
by default, on ubuntu 16.04, the unlocker module does not work with lastest async npm package (v2.0.1) but former package (v1.5.2) is ok so
Code:
npm uninstall async
npm install [email protected]
did the trick.

the front-end will be updated soon, core is running.
when all miners will move on http://54.153.36.187:8080/# (the sooner the better), 52.8.47.33 will be shutdown (stats will be lost, PM me if you want a record of your personal stat)

Switched over. Thanks for running pool Arux!
