i confirm ubuntu 16.04 and cryptonote-universal-pool are not good friends.
i tried several version of node with nvm but unlocker module does not want to work

i give up, i'm out of time (holiday departure incoming Cool)

http://52.8.47.33:8080 remain active without change.

@jwinterm: i send you manualy the block, (the other miner was me).

thanks you very much jwinterm, block found!

the test is useful, there is a problem with unlocker module

Code:

2016-07-30 18:30:44 [master] Block unlocker died, spawning replacement...

i must investigate. perhaps a incompatible nodejs version (ubuntu 16.04 and cryptonote-universal-pool don't sound like friends)
if i don't find a solution, i would pay you manually

for now, it's useless to keep mining as long as the unlocker module is faulty.

i plan to move http://52.8.47.33:8080 at http://54.153.36.187:8080/#

the front-end is not yet updated (i will do it this evening) but core is running.
i have to find a block to verify unlock an payment. Somebody could point his miner at 54.153.36.187:3333 (or 54.153.36.187:5555; 54.153.36.187:7777)? thanks a lot.

Just switched mine over. Only like 700 h/s, but hopefully helps a bit.

I have submitted AEON to Poloniex and others. Have also chatted about it on Poloniex.

How many people have recently asked Poloniex to (re)list Aeon?

Howdy gents,

I want to withdraw Aeon from Bittrex, I tried using the Monero type command "integrated_address" to generate payment id,however (unknown command)

I realized I don't know the command to generate a payment id  Huh

I do believe it is necessary for Bittrex withdraw, advise if true or not and please advise how to generate payment id, thanks everyone Smiley

Payment id is only needed when sending funds to an exchange or other service. If you are withdrawing funds to your own wallet then no payment id is necessary. Payment id is just a 64 character string if hex characters tho, you could make one up or generate a random one if you want, but it isn't necessary when receiving funds in your personal wallet.
THANKS FOR THE INFO Smiley

abandoned ?

No. Working fine, so no bug fixes required since the last one. If more fixes are required, they will be provided.

Future development plans are under consideration. As I stated (maybe it was the Speculation thread?), I will make an announcement in approximately two weeks.

Any updates?

New roadmap still under development to be released Soon(TM)

Cool, looking forward to it!  Smiley

Roadmap
April 26, 2015 - new roadmap announced
Mobile-friendly PoW and block time (released)
GUI wallet (in progress)
32-bit and ARM support (released, but requires low memory footprint below)
Low memory footprint (in progress)
Signature trimming
Blockchain pruning (test release available)

Multisig and payment channels (instant payments)

ELI5 signature trimming and how it relates to pruning please

Trimming allows syncing without transferring the old (pruned) signatures. The current pruned node still transfers them but then throws them away instead of storing them. This would also allow syncing from one pruned node to another. Currently only full unpruned/archive nodes can sync to another node.

The community should not sit idle and wait for more developments. Websites can be built and exchanges and small merchants can be asked to accept Aeon

Does it requires lots of RAM like Monero in the beginning? If yes I would consider it a bug.

It's not nearly as bad because of the 4 minute block time compared to 1 min for most of monero's life, and much lighter usage meaning much less txs so smaller blocks. It will need db implementation someday, but today is not that day (maybe 2 GB RAM usage or so atm).

Is that with the bcmreduce build?

I think bcmreduce produced several builds. To minimize memory usage (as much as possible at the moment at least), you want the pruning branch.

Hello everyone, I am new to AEON and I recently mined it with ccminer and connected it with two different wallets (one from aeongui-0.2.3 and simplewallet I created) and I want to know why neither of the two show any aeon coins in the wallets. Is there something wrong with my wallets, I mined from http://52.8.47.33:8080/# and it shows that they paid me but there's nothing on either of my wallets and its been two days already. What is wrong or does it take a long time to receive them?

AEON, and other cryptonote coins, use separate binaries for daemon and wallet.

You will have to sync your daemon first (aeond) and then you run simplewallet and let it refresh.

Thanks man
