In the end they couldn't compete with the companies that were delivering an inferior product to the masses for significantly less. The same thing happened to Apple but Apple was able to transition to consumer gadgets and phones before it went out of business. Apple also had Steve Jobs to lead the company.

At the moment there isn't any market that supports Amigacoin.
Anyway, now it's available a porting of cpuminer for AROS (a free implementation of AmigaOS that runs on x86 platform), called AMiner.
