k i would love to partake in a new algo.. but every dl link i see for sgminer is like 14/51 on virustotal.. all false positives..? seems to be a lot. anyone got a clean version?

is the one at sgminerwindows.com giving the false positive?

yea, 14 of em. as long as i hear testimony from people who have used it, i will feel fine. i know cgminer and all the other miners throw a few falsies as well. but i wouldn't wanna be the guinea pig for trying to run an app with 14 flags.

if its just scrypt N why dont use vertminer then?

If vertminer lets you manually set nfactor that would work fine.

Aiden is a variation of scrypt-n, its not adaptive, and is less memory intensive giving GPU's the ability to hash at higher rates.
i'm not sure about vertminer I know sgminer does, so I understand why the need for sg

is it cooler than x11?

cooler as in, needs to wear shades and drive a nice car?

OR cooler as in, the heat produced?

Cooler as in heat produced. It is summer soon. BUt since it is still spring maybe i could still mine without using an AC on. How much heat will it produce?

To be honest, I think if you are pushing your hardware to the max it will produce the same amount of heat.

whats the point then?

Higher hashrate, more security.

If you were to evenly match the cost of hashrates between Aiden, litecoin, and vertcoin
It would take less energy and heat to create 1 mh with aiden then it would the other two.

I would like to hear answers about that too. I assume, as it's supposed to be more efficient, it should atleast be cooler then Scrypt. But i'm not sure how this is related to x11, as I haven't mined a x11 coin yet.

I'm afraid changing N from 1024 to 128 (N factor from 9 to 6) doesn't qualify as a really ASIC resistant thing.

litecoin is nfactor 10 or 1024
aiden is nfactor 6 or 64

And I answered that question already Tongue

Its currently asic resistant (due to cost to manufactor) but nothing is asic intolerant.

Wow you really gave it a new name as if you invented something. It's Scrypt-N. Lower N factor, that's it.

Be sure to check out OPs other successful coins, like Magic Internet Money (MIM) (which is dead - no buy orders on any exchanges) and Franko (slow death, the entire market cap couldn't buy a well equipped Honda Accord and the daily transaction volume isn't even the monthly payment leasing a well equipped Honda Accord)

LOL <3

I'll nibble because you dont deserve a byte.

MIM is scottii's coin I just helped develop it.

As for naming something nfactor 6, you are the only one who seems to care lol. Like on everyone one of my reddit post.

Vertcoin named their solution adaptive-nfactor, Aiden doesnt adapt, it is 6.

edit: Oh and if "SpiryGolden" comes to his defense, that's one of his friends. He runs a twitter account for "altcoin-advice" but in reality spams Franko as much as possible.
